I do wonder if those 38 years will be 38 years... Will he be subject to an earlier release on "good behavior" or some such thing? If not, he would certainly be at an advanced age if he lives longer than his sentence.
It sounds like the remains will turn out to be hers. And the family can have a burial or whatever service, etc., they may want to have. Funerals and/or burial services are often something that allows loved ones to go to the next stage of grief. And certainly to each his own...
But this should be helpful to her family so that they can at least have her remains under their care and control.
Positive thoughts for all of those who loved and will always miss her.

so another "close to home" disposal of a wife - lately it seems these women are found within 5 miles of "last seen" or "home" IMO. I should keep a spreadsheet.
