Found Deceased FL - Hailey Acierno, 17, Tampa, 28 March 2017

I wonder if she has a boyfriend. Also, on the Find Hailey fb page people are saying they saw her wandering in Pasco county and Pinellas. If she did run away, I doubt she would be wandering around aimlessly on the streets. She seems to come from a nice neighborhood and I'm sure she is not the street smart type nor does it seem like she left with money. She def did not have her cell phone according to the fb group. I would think she would have stayed with a friend or someone she met online?

Given her mental state, I hope they are looking at homeless camps and shelters. It's a long time on the streets, without money or a car, or shelter. She could be hiding in an abandon house too , we have lots of them here. But she still has to eat. So maybe the shelters would be a place to start. She can also get food at food banks, lots of churches offer food on certain days of the week. Hope she is found safe and soon.

Not a mental health professional here, but we have fam friend who is bipolar and at times becomes psychotic. Doesn't know who she is, where she is, very dangerous if she goes out alone. Often happens when she stops her meds, thinking like lots that she's fine and doesn't need them. The family has learned to recognize signs that there's an episode coming on thankfully, but couple of times was pretty scary in the beginning.

I'm not sure Hailey'd recognize she'd need to eat or where she was if hers was that severe.(and not insinuating that's inevitable in her case) Frightening though for a young pretty girl to be out alone, yet alone manic. Prayers she's found safe...and soon.

All above MOO

So incredibly worried about Hailey. I definitely think its possible she is wondering around somewhere, aimlessly. Maybe check shelters and local hospitals?

I am sure that all hospital would be alerted and contacted. But not sure about shelters. We have on in Pasco that doesn't do any background checking that I know of, the Holy Ground Shelter.

Flatwoods Park has been closed during the search this morning. The local weather is superb. I hope they search all day. It’s a large park – 5,400 acres.

Mom of missing New Tampa teen: "Horrible things are going through our heads"
[Last modified: Thursday, April 6, 2017 6:53pm]
TAMPA — Lisa Acierno wants to remain optimistic, and if you catch her at the right moment, she is.
[…]
It had been nine days since her 17-year-old daughter Hailey disappeared from her New Tampa home. Authorities have been searching since then, focusing their efforts on Flatwoods Wilderness Park, a short walk from the Aciernos' home in the Arbor Green community and a place where Hailey liked to go with her friends or to be alone with nature.
[…]
Thursday's search ended about 6 p.m. and will resume Friday at 8 a.m. near the Morris Bridge Road park entrance.
Tampa police Chief Eric Ward said the size of the park warranted the call to the Pasco Sheriff's Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to join his agency and the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office, which already had been helping sweep the area.
Clear Channel Outdoor also volunteered to post Acierno's photo on 12 digital billboards throughout the county.
