How awful. Prayers for her loved ones.

I hope this guy just tells LE where she is and spares her family further grief. They have been through enough.

Son comes home yesterday and said, "Sure are a lot of LE around in Earleton and Orange Heights. I passed them on my way home. ATV's, cruisers and walking through woods." Me: "They're probably doing maneuvers."

Totally wrong! They're searching for Hannah Brim just 10 miles from my home. :(

"Missing Gainesville woman Hannah Brim likely dead, officials say"

Poor thing, hope she's found soon.

The weather was cool and sunny today, perfect for searching. I heard on the news that an electronic receipt and the boyfriend's ties to the area are the reasons for this search. News said nothing found today (News4Jax 6pm and TV20 6pm). But they plan on one more day of searching tomorrow.

I helped with Haleigh Cummings search through TES (learned a lot through them re: not touching anything and flagging and alerting, looking for disturbances in earth, birds circling, and searching fingertip to fingertip with teams, etc) and went independently to the Christian Aguilar searches. Neither one was productive, but I figure if it was one of my family members, I would want people to come out. Some comfort to family to know that people care. Christian Aguilar's father thanked every one of the searchers personally as he searched. LE has not asked for the public's help so unable to do anything ATM.

Police Searching For Hannah Brim, 23, Believed To Be Dead

Police are conducting a recovery operation for Hannah Brim, 23, who was reported missing on Jan. 23 and is believed to be dead.

“Through our investigation, we have obtained some forensic evidence that leads us to believe that, unfortunately, Ms. Brim is no longer alive,” Gainesville police spokesman Ben Tobias said at a press conference Thursday in the Orange Heights community, across the street from the investigation’s command post.

Authorities are continuing to look for additional evidence, including Brim’s body, Tobias said.

They are speaking with Nelson Armas, 28, who is serving time at the Alachua County Jail on an unrelated domestic battery charge. Armas is believed to be the last person to see Brim alive, and all evidence is leading to him as a person of interest, Tobias said.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office went to Armas’ home Monday with a search warrant, office spokesman Sgt. Brandon Kutner said at the press conference.

“During the execution of that search, we were able to obtain several pieces of forensic evidence — both physical and electronic evidence — which led us to where we are today,” he said.

Brim had resided at the Florida Motel in Gainesville for about a month before her disappearance, but her lease expired on Jan. 22.

Saw nothing today re: search unless they've moved the command center to a different location. Will await the news.

News4Jax report tonight at 6pm said that the search was cancelled today because they believed HZ dead. Hope her body is found soon if that's true so she can be laid to rest near her family. I'm sure LE has good cause for their statement. So sad.

Records reveal missing woman led troubled life
bilde

Local law enforcement officials search the wooded areas along NE 77th Lane just east of NE 179th Street in Orange Heights, Fla., looking for the remains of missing Gainesville woman, Hannah Brim, gone since last month, Thursday, February 11, 2016.

The search for 23-year-old Hannah Zehner Brim, now presumed dead by law enforcement, resumed Tuesday in Orange Heights, but deputies say they are looking for signs of her in LaCrosse and other parts of northwestern Alachua County too.

Brim's family reported her missing on Jan. 23. Nelson Armas - who was in jail Tuesday on unrelated charges now but is the last person confirmed to have been with Brim before she was reported missing - has been identified as a person of interest. Authorities say no charges have been filed against Armas, 28, or anyone else in this case.

Public records obtained by The Sun reveal more details about Brim, including a report that says she was pregnant in December...

News reports that items of interest were found, but no details, and LE may have to regroup to examine what they have and possibly search again.
