I think he was travelling to work, but his mother’s threads have been deleted pending verification as insider so I am not sure to remember correctly.
What I find strange in this case is the lack of information and media coverage, and I am still much puzzled by the “do not approach” info in the mp alert. For sure there have been search parties, but why there is no reporting at all since the initial missing alert ??

Unfortunately the PD has not allowed comments for its FB post, comments are always interesting IMO.

I hope Ms Rogers can get verified in order to answer the main questions we all have.
For the time being, we can help by keeping this thread on top and visible

Am I the only one who finds it odd that the person claiming to be Ian's Mother only makes one post and never answers any of the questions posed?

I think she made some responses but they were deleted by mods pending approval as an ‘insider’. Whether or not she chooses to do this is unknown. I hope she does but I understand why some people do not want to go through the process just to post on one forum when there are hundreds of other avenues out there where she can get her information out. MOO and speculation only.

Ian is still missing and there are no updates

Have any of us "Websleuthers" reached out to LE on this? While this "feels" like a water incident, there is too little information in this thread as to Ian's plans for travel. Additionally, there is simply too much water in the area. Assuming he actually was near Tom Brown Park, has LE done any searching of their own?

They were all deleted. I personally think we sometimes chase family members off when we immediately tell them to become verified or their posts will be deleted. Not exactly warm and welcoming to family members but MOO

Details of Disappearance

Rogers was last seen at his mother's house in Crawfordville, Florida on August 26, 2024. He said he was on his way to work that morning, but he never arrived and has never been heard from again. His vehicle, a white 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck with metal step sides and the Florida license plate number RSKU57, has never been located; a photo of the truck is posted with this case summary. It was a work vehicle he'd gotten just a few days earlier.

At noon on the day Rogers disappeared, his vehicle was seen on surveillance cameras near Tom Brown Park in Tallahassee, Florida, but it wasn't clear who was driving. The park is about twenty miles north of Crawfordville. The pickup truck has not been seen since and has never been recovered.

Rogers's family doesn't believe he left of his own accord. He had recently gotten a promotion at work, and he went missing the day before his son's birthday, something his loved ones said he had planned for and wouldn't have wanted to miss. His case remains unsolved.

Hmmm. It states the area is deep in the woods. Ideas rolling around in my brain….

He went missing in FL Hunting Zone B or C depending on the actual site. So, no active hunting (bow/crossbow/guns) in late Aug unless, he discovered an illegal hunting activity. But if he chose to end his life, he would eventually be found….

Maybe the truck is in water, unseen. He crawled out after impact but unable to get to a more public area to be rescued, possibly succumbed to injuries.

The truck is elsewhere. He went into the woods, stumbled upon something unexpected such as an illegal growing operation, sadly, so very common here. He could have lost his life as a result.

Bear attack, yes we have black bears here.

The truck of a missing Crawfordville man has been discovered in Leon County.

*****
Over a year later, on Nov. 9, Capt. Brett Surace with WCSO said that the truck was found in a “remote wooded area off Old Plank Road, south of Tram Road in Leon County.”

The 2019 white Dodge Ram 2500 that Ian was driving for work has been found, according to the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office. It was found on Old Plank Road in Leon County, just south of Tram Road.

This was the first time the truck was seen since it was last spotted leaving the Tom Brown Park area on the corner of Connor Boulevard and Apalachee Parkway.

The sheriff's office said the truck appeared not to have been moved for some time. They have search crews looking for Ian in the area where the truck was located.
