Now, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office has released a video that it said was overlooked during the original investigation. Detectives are asking for help identifying a person in the video who’s wearing a black jacket, burgundy scarf and blue jeans.

The Sheriff’s Office says making contact with the man, who was said to have red hair, could help in the disappearance of Markham, who would now be 73 years old.

Detective Charity Rose said the man in the video visited a convenience store on Lem Turner Road and a cellphone store in Callahan.

“He looked at the flyer of Jackie Markham, walked up to the clerk’s desk at the convenience store and told her that you need to search the woods behind Jackie Markham’s house,” Rose explained.

Markham was last seen on December 14, 2000, at an Eckert’s Pharmacy in Callahan. Her boyfriend, Archie Carrol, was the person to report her missing.

“Her vehicle was in the garage and her prescriptions that she had just picked up were still in the passenger seat,” explained Rose.

“We do not believe that this is our suspect,” Rose said. “We just believe that this individual may have information or he may just be someone who’s just stating the obvious that that’s where we need to look.”

I absolutely believe that Archie had something to do with Jack Markham’s disappearance. I have pieced together a short video where I dissect a portion of Archie Carroll’s interview on the Disappeared episode and break down multiple “tells” that Archie displays which prove he is being deceptive.

Archie’s friends, coworkers and family members should be investigated to see if any of them have a black/dark blue truck similar to the one that the neighbor saw at the house the day of the disappearance.

Why were cadaver/tracking dogs not utilized to track Jackie's scent from the house and near the tire tracks in her backyard?

Why were cadaver/tracking dogs not utilized near the location where Jackie's purse was found?

The purse was wiped clean of all fingerprints, which leads me to believe that the purse was placed there in the ditch to be found.

Is there no video footage of Jackie at the pharmacy the day of her disappearance?

I would form a search party with cadaver dogs and search the hunting areas that Archie is known to frequent. I would question his hunting buddies and find specific locations. I would also send in divers to drag the bottom of any lake near these hunting grounds.

Archie is an experienced truck driver perhaps he hid the body along one of his common driving routes. A place that he knew of ahead of and picked out ahead of time.

I noticed in the Disappeared episode that Archie states that they started setting up the Christmas tree on Tuesday night. Later in the episode her son in law states that when he entered her house that the tree was still not complete.

Also in the episode Archie tells the story of Jackie’s supposed last phone call to him and how she tells him that Richard is there drunk and also states that Richard is the boyfriend that “Works over at CSX railroad.” Interestingly enough the purse ends up over on the railroad tracks almost as if it was planted there to put investigators on Richards trail.

Archie states that he got to Jackie's house and there was "No Jackie and no purse." Why would he be looking for her purse specifically? My first thought in this situation would not be to look for a purse. Most women have multiple purses how does he know which purse to look for?

Who was Archie's roommate that is mentioned in the episode? Does he own a truck?
I live in Nassau County and work for CSX. I just found this forum and never realized that Richard worked for CSX. I am sure retired at this point. I moved to Nassau in 2005, so after she went missing. My guess is she might of been disposed of in 4 creeks wildlife management area , which i saw listed in an article as a possible exit route from the woods behind her home. That there were tire tracks behind her home to Bismark road
