Deputies in Citrus County are searching for four children that went missing while camping. The children went missing a little after 3p.m. Saturday in the Chassahowitzka River Campground in Homosassa.
An official with the Sheriffs office says that it is the childrens first day camping at the campground and are known to go exploring together when they camp.
This is the description of the four children:
Female, Jade, Age 9, wearing a purple coat
Male, Rocket, Age 8, wearing navy Blue hoodie
Male, Jasper, Age 7, wearing gray sweatpants
Male, Aidan, Age 9, wearing green two-tone windbreaker
Citrus County Sheriffs Office Patrol, Aviation, K-9 and Volunteer Bloodhound units are searching for the children. Deputies are also advising that they are not in need of community volunteers to search for the children at this time.
If you come in contact with the children deputies are urging you to call 911 to report it.
