*Pretrial Hearing (@ 9am ET) - FL - Jared Galen Bridegan (33), father of 4 ambushed & killed (shot 4 times), his 2-year-old daughter was just feet away in the back seat, Jacksonville Beach, Feb. 16, 2022. *Mario Enrique Fernandez Saldana (34/now 35) arrested (in Kissimmee, Orange County, 3/22/23) & charged & indicted (3/16/23) & arraigned (4/4/23) with 1st degree murder with a weapon, conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony & child abuse. In Orange County jail waiting for transfer to Jacksonville in Duval County. Transferred to Duval County on 3/22/23. Held without bond. Plead not guilty. DA will seek the DP.
Trial set to begin on 4/13/24.

Judge reviewed process of info that can remain private for the 1 document. But, there does appear to be one document in contention & the judge said she takes attorney/client privilege very seriously. The judge offered to have an independent circuit judge hear the arguments about that document which would shield even her from hearing privileged information. We will likely hear more about this in Fernandez's next court appearance on Dec. 11, 2023. Next pretrial hearing 12/11/23 @ 9am.
*Shanna Gardner Fernandez (36) – Pretrial hearing on 2/2/24.
*Henry Arthur Tenon (61/now 62) – Plead guilty (3/17/23) to 2nd degree murder & will testify against Saldana & Gardner. Status hearing on 2/5/24.

Neither Mario Fernandez nor Shanna Gardner appeared in court, but their lawyers say they need time to go over the latest emails given to them by the State Attorney's Office.

This latest hearing revolved around the issue of attorney-client privileged emails uploaded in discovery to a NextPoint site. The defense team for Mario Fernandez has previously made a motion to have the Fourth Judicial Circuit of the State Attorney's Office removed from the case over the issue. Late Friday, Shanna Gardner's defense team filed paperwork saying they would be joining that motion.

According to filings from the State Attorney's Office, it claims the uploading of the documents was done accidentally by a 3rd party vendor. The State says they notified the defense teams and disabled the platform NextPoint when the mistake was realized. They also claim they did not open or review the emails.

The defense teams will have until February 2nd to go over the material, that's when Fernandez and Gardner are due back in court. Both have pleaded not guilty.

DA will seek the DP. Held without bail on Fugitive warrant (in Benton County, WA). Was extradited on 10/20/23 to Florida. Plead not guilty. No bond.

Just heard on local morning news show the next hearing is 2/9/24. I think they always have a 9am start time but it wasn't mentioned. Also was not mentioned if both defendants at same hearing or not. Sorry, that is all I got!

Plead not guilty. Held without bond (murder) & $1.5M (other counts).
In Tenon's court file "on or between 1/4/22 & 2/16/22, in the county of Duval & the State of Florida, did agree, conspire, combine or confederate with other human beings to, unlawfully & from a premeditated design, effect the death of Bridegan".
Trial was set to begin on 7/19/23 was cancelled, Tenon plead guilty (3/16/23) to 2nd degree murder. Sentencing hearing on 6/14/23 was vacated & rescheduled on 7/12/23 & was vacated.
