Chief just clarified that by "victims," she meant "wounded". There were actually 6 victims - one of them died.

It was strange that when the reporter asked the chief if the perp's mother reported him, the chief never said yes or no. She just went into a description of how the OPD went in and tracked him through cell records, etc.

Was it a matter of PR or wanting to avoid saying yes or no, or that she didn't know?

Maybe she didn't want to confirm the Mom reporting him just in case the guy somehow escaped or got out? Retaliation?
