69-year-old man with dementia reported missing in Pembroke Park

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a 69-year-old man with dementia who went missing in Pembroke Park.

Jean Greaux was last seen near Southwest 52nd Avenue and Hallandale Beach Boulevard, around 3 p.m., Wednesday.

Police said Greaux could possibly be disoriented.

Greaux was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, khaki jacket and white sneakers.

The 69-year-old is said to have a medium build, gray hair and brown eyes.

Greaux stands at about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.

I wonder if he was out walking and got lost. There’s a number of shops nearby, a school, a neighborhood (with a big retention pond) and a senior living facility.

As of mid morning, they’re still searching for him but theres no Silver Alert listed for him online. They need to check the two retention ponds nearby.

UPDATE: 5 days after walking away from an ALF, detectives have located Jean Greaux. He had made his way to the French Consulate on Brickell Ave looking for help. Consulate staff contacted BSO. It is unclear where he was during the 5 days or how he made his way to Miami.
