Man has been missing for about a week

Marion County sheriff's deputies are searching for a 45-year-old Silver Springs Shores man who has been missing for nearly a week.

On Friday, a woman told a deputy that around 3:30 p.m. on March 30, she talked with Jeffrey Keith, her ex-husband, and he was depressed about losing his job and about his financial problems. She said she talked with him for a while and believed he was feeling better after their talk.

She went home around 8 p.m. on March 30 and discovered Keith was not there. She tried calling him but was unsuccessful. He also didn't return home and the woman later tried contacting Keith's friends.

The woman said Keith left his cellphone at the home, his house keys and dentures. She especially became concerned when Keith sent a message to a former employee, thanking him for everything he has done for him over the years.

Deputies have reached out to hospitals and mental health facilities but have not had any luck in finding him.

Authorities continue search for missing man

Watch commander Capt. Jon Turner said searchers were “actively searching” throughout the Shores for Jeffrey M. Keith, 45. He was described as a white male, five-foot-eight-inches tall, 125 pounds and bald with brown eyes.

OCALA -- Sheriff’s deputies continue to look for a Silver Springs Shores man who has been missing since late last month.

Another appeal for information by LE, but no new information in the article. Jeffrey is still missing.

The Marion County sheriff's office said a hunter reported finding human bones while walking in a wooded area on the north edge of Silver Spring Shores.
