It's about 30 miles from home.

It's quite a distance, been there many times. Plant City isn't in Pasco County so I wonder if there was an error in reporting.

I think she was found in Crystal Springs near Paul Buchman and County Line Road.

Btw... sooo relieved! :loveyou:

All other reports have said she was found just over the state line in Pasco County. Let me go get a linky

Jenna Irmler, 11, was found in Pasco County Thursday. It is currently unclear how she got there. She will be reunited with her family and will be interviewed by detectives.

A store employee at the Circle K, located on Paul Buchman Highway in Zephyrhills, told FOX 13 that she saw the girl walk into the store and immediately recognized her. That's when she called authorities.

When deputies finally located Jenna, she was almost 30 miles away from her Brandon home.

Deputies say they don't know how Jenna traveled that distance. They will be conducting interviews to find out if she walked the entire way, or had help.

Investigators believe she ran away from home and intentionally avoided law enforcement.

Thank God! So happy she was found safe! I can't imagine how she could have traveled so far by foot without being seen by anyone looking for her until this morning?

Welcome to Websleuths!!! Alligators are around and the hunting part depends on if they are fed by human or not. Don't get me wrong, when new developments arise and food becomes scarce, a mid afternoon puppy snack is not uncommon. There is however a lot of minor ponds or waterways around her area.

Thank you!

Oh my gosh, I am so so sooooo happy!!!!

Just because I used to always post this on every child's post with Autism or Asperger and a couple of people here mentioned they worry about this:

Child- Autism- missing- water. Happens ALL too often. I urge anyone with a loved one with Autism or even Alzheimer's to look into this:

ps- I have nothing to do with the product, but I worked with adults with disabilities for a long time. I wish I would have had this for many of them!

Project Lifesaver isn't available all over, unfortunately.

Here is a tracking device option for people (though it is a bit pricey.) https://www.angelsense.com/

According to my local news she did walk that far! The officer also said she was very reluctant to come home :( (appeared to be a snippet on the news from a press conference).

Saw video of her returning home with her parents. Her mom wasn't ready to speak on camera. I think this was abc news- I'll check their site for a link.

This is NOT the one I saw- this one is right when she was found and he doesn't have a lot of answers. The one I saw was her walking into her house and an officer saying she appeared to have run away and walked all the way to Pasco county where she was found:

YAYYYYY this makes my day they found sweet Jenna safe.

But Oh I so wish we had something like projectlifesaver here in the UK especially as we live on a small remote Island and our lass loves water and has zero sense of fear. She is watched as much as humanly possible(we do need to sleep at some point) but locks all over the place, alarms but you never feel 100% sure not too mention she might not speak but she is the smartest girl we know and if she wants that chocolate you hid in the kitchen she will wake up at 3am find it eat it and hide the evidence.
