Should I take it off my description? They replaced the motion for her mental records, with the motion of asking for confidential info - his credit cards, etc. I saw her name - and the mental institutions name in Massachusetts. Don't really know what happened there.

Well that is strange. On 6/5/18 record they had the Motion to get her mental records, now they have a different page on there. I should have got the link & posted it. Sorry! But I KNOW I saw it!! LOL!

The court may have made a mistake in listing the 4 pages of the 6/5/18 docket entry as 'public'; realized their error; then changed it to 'confidential' and at the same time removed any confidential summary detail from the docket listing. Just thinking. . . as I didn't see it and I have no idea what happened.
Yes, better to take it off of your description IMO so that it's not confusing.
I always try to get a copy/paste of the exact text as it appears on the docket.
What shows now for 6/5/18 is listed as 'confidential':

Nelson hearing is a required hearing when a defendant alleges his court-appointed counsel is ineffective. It gets it's name (like Miranda, etc..) from a famous case that established the principle. Williams Rule covers the whether evidence about a defendant's other offenses can be introduced.

Nelson hearing is a required hearing when a defendant alleges his court-appointed counsel is ineffective. It gets it's name (like Miranda, etc..) from a famous case that established the principle. Williams Rule covers the whether evidence about a defendant's other offenses can be introduced.

I'm kind of laughing, as on the "Docket Events" under the 7/2 date - Order Appointing Experts - Competency evaluation they attach his 9 pages request for a Nelson Hearing.

Judge ordered Nelson to undergo a mental health evaluation in October, 2017. Hinted in a new letter to Judge that he has information about nearly a dozen other homicides.

His competency hearing was scheduled for Friday. Three mental health experts evaluated Nelson at the request of his defense attorneys, and another one at the request of prosecutors, court records show. Circuit Judge Keith White was set to hear their testimony and decide whether Nelson should continue with trial proceedings or be sent to a mental health hospital for treatment until he can participate in his own defense.

To prepare for the hearing, the defense experts gave the prosecution’s expert reports they wrote about Nelson and the raw data from testing they did. Assistant State Attorney Ken Nunnelley asked that they also hand over any notes they took during their evaluations.

But Assistant Public Defender Chelsea Simmons said she did not think the experts had to provide their notes to the prosecution.

“The case law is not clear on that,” Simmons said.
