From that same article:

Cynthia Ludden, a selectman in the town of Jackson, said Thursday that she did not want to talk about the murder or about any illegal prescription drug activity in the county. She did say that the “Porter boys” — Daniel Porter’s family members — are good guys who “play hard.”

“These are the type of guys that if it’s pouring rain and you need to stop and change a tire, they will help,” she said.

Well...Im pretty damn sure that Porter DIDNT kill him with kindness.

IMO...uh huh

Maybe they were good to the home boys (locals) but not to the outsiders.

MOO - people can really change rapidly because of drugs. Like with alcohol, drugs take away good judgement...the users reality is all about getting the drug. So, the drug user commits a horrible act...is arrested and will soon be substance free and a new reality starts to sink in. Jail. JMO
So sad across the board.

I am also curious about, Why Maine? The close proximity to Canada and it's well known 'BC Bud' has me wondering what JP brought back besides cash, and what goodies he may have dropped off in NYC on the way to and from.

“I know Dan,” Ginn said. “He was faced with a difficult situation. … He does not deserve to be tried for murder. Self-defense is not a crime.”

We knew that he would claim self-defense. However, it does become a crime when you try to cover up a death that was supposedly in "self-defense". It does become a crime when you not only hide the body, you hide the gun, and you go on the run until the police catch you.

There was a story that is not at all the same as Jerry's story, but a man did shoot an intruder in self-defense. The biggest difference - he called police to tell them about it. Why? Because it was honestly self defense - and because he did not do anything wrong. http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=194...in-springville-home-invasion&s_cid=featured-2

Also, I will be very interested in the COD of Jerry. If it is one gunshot, that is one thing. However, if there is additional trauma...

But Porter’s family members, some of whom were crying and many of whom were vocally supportive, said outside courthouse that it’s not fair that he is facing a murder trial.

The above just makes me want to puke. What's not fair is that 2 children are without a father.

If this was self defense, why hide the body, throw the bag of Jerry's belongings in a dumpster and run? Hmmm, self defense, I say not.

Autopsy results released:

BANGOR, Maine -
The Maine Chief Medical Examiner has released an autopsy report Friday, saying Seminole County firefighter Jerry Perdomo died of a gunshot wound to the head.

The report also said the manner of death has been ruled as a homicide.

If someone is saying they shot someone in self defense I wonder what the percentages are of shooting the person in the head as opposed to their torso....it would seem more likely they would shoot the torso if it was a scuffle etc I believe when someone shoots at a head they mean to kill them, as opposed to the body which would slow them down or give them time to get away. My take is Daniel truly meant to kill him and not just wound him. He is all happy yelling to the "crowd" at the court. He is a drug dealer and killer...why is he being glamorized. This is the dumbing down of our nation when people are actually not angry at him, but supportive and making excuses.....i'm would say I'm speechless, but that doesn't seem to be the case.....:maddening:
