Rest in peace, Jim

Missing Orlando man found dead in Daytona Beach
http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/missing-orlando-man-found-dead-daytona-beach/ncH4c/

Where in the 1000 Block of Beach St? There's some pretty shady looking places along Beach. Kinda crazy a nursing home is smack dab in the middle of a high crime drug infested area. I thought Daytona beefed up le to curb crime there. How come this stuff keeps happening? Was Jim found outside somewhere? Was he killed and then dumped there? Or did he die where he was found? Was this in fact a murder?

What in the world is going on? This guy was stripped down to a tank & boxers? Why would a kidnapper do that? To keep him from running? Doesn't make sense? Stripping his clothes would only draw more attention... Which brings me to this: Police never released his "last seen in" outfit like they normally do when someone goes missing, but they did say they thought he was kidnapped. Updated link:

Stripped down to his boxers as if he were running. How odd. Sounds like Alfred Wright...hmmm

Oh no! Rest in Peace Jim! I hope you didn't suffer long.

He had diabetes. Maybe he died because he didn't get his meds.

I hope the person(s) responsible for this will get caught!

How far was that from his car and the barber shop? I think way more was known than was told from day one. It didn't help poor Jim though to be silent. MHO

About 15 minutes from barbershop to car - toll booth on the route maps gives, wonder if they have cameras?

I've been thinking about why he would be in boxer shorts. Perhaps he was with an escort and was killed during a robbery.

He could have been placed in the back of a truck or in a car trunk and it got too hot. Since floridammomma said it has been very hot he may have died accidentally during the kidnapping.

There several route options from where he was last seen to where the car was found other than the toll road. Of course, camera footage from the toll road would be ideal.

He may have been stripped down or told to strip down to be humiliated.

I remember seeing an episode of the First 48 where a young man was killed in a park with his pants down. They were able to determine it was a way to humiliate the victim before they killed him.

I googled and looked up recently kidnapped men. All the stories I found were about men being kidnapped for ransoms. One of them they took off his shirt so they could cut and beat him but he was found alive from pings off the cellphone they used to make the ransom. Maybe it is something similar and that is how they located the car, through cell pings?

One article related to Orlando says "kidnapped man's body found in van" but doesn't have any details.

Another one in PA where 7 people were kidnapped and held at ransom. They were also forced to take off their clothing.

It's so sad. Women get raped, men have to strip down before being killed. :( Just imagine the terror to die like that.

Could he have been suffocated?

Very, very strange case.

From the get go they assume he was kidnapped but no indications as to why.

Car found one place.

He's found another.

He's found stripped down.

And initially inconclusive CoD.

Several of those in one case would be odd. All of them in the same case is really odd (to me, at least!) Especially pairing the first and last.

According to the video at this link, investigators didn't see any noticeable signs of trauma on Jim bc his body was badly decomposed. Well that certainly paints a different picture than the other news report that simply said there weren't any signs of trauma.

http://www.wesh.com/Missing-Orlando...nty/-/11788876/23440500/-/coujcm/-/index.html

Badly decomposed? In just a few days? How could a body decompose so 'badly' that they could not determine any trauma, in less than a week?

Sounds like an overdose, either accidentally, or intentionally... or maybe given to him by someone else.
