A lot of changes in the area since he went missing. It looks like his neighborhood was affected by Katrina, maybe the damage and debris made an accident less noticeable? The large pond along the road that exits his neighborhood was searched last year by Sunshine State Sonar and cars were found.

I don't know the process, but I hope they didn't cover any submerged cars while building over these ponds.

Well, it actually looks like there is no possibility that it is Mr. Gelardi since he was born in 1947 and therefore could not have served in WWII.
