I suspect she abandoned Evan. This bull about that being the reason she started using aliases is just an excuse or story she is telling her mother to gain her sympathy and perhaps manipulate. She gave birth to the child while using an alias for crying out loud. She probably told her mother to do the interview and tell about it! I also suspect she was in touch with Mom off and on throughout the years.

Do you have a source for her giving birth while using an alias? I had not seen that before. Thank you.

I could only listen to the mother in her interview for about five minutes and I had to shut it off. The woman hasn't seen her in what, 14 years? No one reported her missing for 8 years. How can she say with conviction that she knows her daughter? In 14 years time, a person can change a lot. Drugs and alcohol, mental illness, so many things could have happened to her that she is no longer the daughter she believed her to be. Oh and suddenly, there's a baby she was searching?

I am not sure that there is an Evan. Maybe there. I found two divorce cases involving two of her aliases. It appears she married in Arizona under the Melissa Mckernan alias and became Melissa Losey. However, it appears that the Losey divorce was in 1995 and then perhaps there was a remarriage after that and another divorce in 2001 with a decree in 2002.

This case in 2001, you will note upon seeing has a case type of "Family Court without Children"

This is the Divorce case involving Losey from 1995. Also no mention of children.

So, if what her mother says had any truth to it - her source is Kimberly after all - that would mean that this alleged child named Evan would be alive in 1998. But that would mean that such a child would either have to have been fathered by someone other than her husband or from prior to 1995 at a minimum. If that were the case it would explain the divorce without children. But at the same time would contradict her mother's claim that Kimberly changed her name to go to Virginia Beach since all of this is taking place in Arizona in this time frame.

Naturally, not much of this is going to end up making sense because there is almost zero chance that Kimberly's mother has any idea who or what her daughter is.

Oh, there were pictures of baby Evan in that interview. And her mother says her daughter changed her name to "go back to Virginia to look for Evan". Also mention of it happening nearly 20 years ago. So did she supposedly have Evan while in Virginia around 1999 or 2000? That would have been when she was using the alias "Christina Brook" or just before she invented that alias.

We see only photos of a child. Why is it that we don't see a photo of Kimberly holding the child or with the child? A photo of Grandma and the child, etc. I am skeptical if there ever was a child. I can't rule it out, of course, at this moment but clearly a child is not involved in a 1995 divorce proceeding nor the 2001 divorce proceeding - both involving the same man.

This case has me so intrigued. I do believe that LE likely has a serial killer on their hands. You'd have to be running from something pretty serious to change your name that many times.
