I have found no record of a court case involving the name Christina Brook in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News, Suffolk or Chesapeake (collectively the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I have searched some of the other aliases there also with no hits.

I have a traffic Citation for a Christina Brook out of Missouri, however, I can't be sure it is connected to a KK alias. Do you know the alleged age of the Christina Brook alias?

I don't know what age she claimed to be, but there may be spelling variations on that alias. Bringing forward a previous post with the list of her aliases and places she may have lived:

She signed the birth certificate for their son as Christina Melissa Brook. She told Edwards she was using the aliases to make sure her family, including her mother, could not find her.

“I believe it was the following week that Joleen Cummings had gone missing when the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI were trying to contact me and Evan [their son] is when I found out what her actual real name was," Edwards said in an exclusive interview with First Coast News. "When we met each other, her name was, well what she was going by was Melissa McKernen ... then once my son was born she put Christina Brook, Christina Melissa Brook on the birth certificate. So prior to me even meeting her, she had been using aliases. And the reason she told me she was using aliases was to avoid her mother."

"He was, I want to say right at around 15 months when social services took him away from her. She was not letting me see him at the time so she actually, I’m not 100 percent sure what happened, she had got into an argument with a neighbor, the neighbor called social services, she got into an argument with the lady with social services and the next day they picked him up from daycare," Edwards says.

"At that point, she went to social services with a handgun to try and get him back and was arrested and then she skipped town after that. I hadn’t seen her since, and I went in place of her social services case, custody case and was awarded sole custody of him, and in the process terminated her parental rights."

Edwards says the timeline of what Kessler's mother said is all wrong and also just not factual.

Evan is 20 years old and issued a statement that he has nothing to say, doesn't know her or want to be associated with her, and had never even seen a photo of his mother until the FBI contacted him (my paraphrase)

Sounds like the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Both Kessler and her mother have a problem with telling the truth. It’s too bad that they had to rope her ex and son into this horrendous situation.

She had to be running from something much more serious for quite a while.

I agree Jethro. It makes me wonder if she had used aliases before 1996 as well... She told her mother she was hiding from a boyfriend and told her boyfriend/husband she was hiding from her mother... What was she really hiding from? Also, pretty scary that she had a gun while living her double life. I wonder if it was held in evidence and can it now be checked against past crimes?

That is my line of thinking since that is the only charge under all her aliases (including her real name) I could find there and it fits the timeline.

And that puts her in between the two aliases out of Arizona that seem to involve at least one divorce in the two cases with the man she was married to there. She used the Melissa McKernan alias when she met Evan's father and she had been using that when she became Melissa Losey via marriage and then McKernan again out of the divorce.

After giving it some thought and re-reading the docket of the 2001 case out of Arizona it might be that her ex-husband modifying terms of the divorce rather than a situation where they re-married. I don't know how to obtain Marriage Records out of Maricopa County - it might have to be obtained in person at the county clerk's office. That would be the only way to know for sure. I don't know why states make it easy to find divorce cases but not the associated marriage record as it isn't the same thing as obtaining a copy of the marriage certificate.

At any rate, if there is someone reading along that lives in Maricopa County perhaps they could dig into the two court cases and find any associated marriage records.

I guess I will add some observations and thinking out loud.

It seems that she had successfully lived under the Melissa McKernan alias for quite a long time. She seemingly had even been able to pull off a marriage license and petition a divorce in a court. I would think she would have had identification and even a birth certificate as Melissa McKernan.

So, why when giving birth does she change to a different alias? What is it that could come about that would blow her Melissa McKernan identity?

At the time of giving birth she would have already had to have had created the Christina Brook alias, including identification. Its not like you can just slap down any name you want on the birth certificate. That means she was likely registered as a patient under the Christina Brook name. But, to me, that would mean that Evan's father would have to be aware of that unless he wasn't even there for the birth of Evan. Heck, it would seem to me that she would have to have been seeing an ob/gyn under the Christina Brook alias. Wouldn't the hospital have asked who her ob/gyn was? And, in turn, wouldn't the ob/gyn have to recognize the patient name?

Something seems to be missing in all of that. Don't know what it is but it is as if we aren't quite getting the full story here either.

When I was researching the Losey and McKernan IDs in AZ, I noticed that when a place was listed, the corresponding area code for the phone number did not reflect the current location. The area codes were for other States where we know her to have been. I believe that when she arrived in a State, she was still using a phone she picked up in a previous State. Phoenix had a PA area code, Colorado had a AZ area code, and Waco, TX had a VA area code I believe. I have a screenshot but unfortunately it doesn't show the website and I don't remember which people search engine it was. That was for both the Losey and McKernan names. If anyone wants it let me know. If my theory is right on this she was in PA just prior to AZ and AZ just prior to Colorado and Virginia just prior to TX.

That is probably the Family Tree Now website. She definitely overlapped names at some addresses and like you say telephone numbers with area codes reflecting other locations. I noted earlier in the thread that she was making mistakes where she had overlapped aliases at addresses and she likely made similar mistakes. The hard part is finding all of the mistakes. But in doing so we can probably piece her movements across time.

Authorities continue searching for evidence of the remains of a missing Florida woman in a landfill near the Florida-Georgia line.

This update on the search for Joleen Cummings, 34, who vanished in May, comes as law enforcement officials revealed on Monday the FBI has joined the search for the woman who is believed to be dead.

Agents from the FBI, sheriffs from Nassau County in Florida, and Charlton County in Georgia, as well as Florida prosecutors made the announcement at a joint news conference.

Authorities have said suspect Kimberly Lee Kessler was allegedly seen discarding a 'normal size white trash bag' on a dumpster in Florida which would have ended up at the Chesser Island landfill in Folkston, Georgia that is now the subject of their search, according to People.
