Oviedo mom gets 54 years in prison for sexually abusing her children

An Oviedo mother who sexually abused her children and produced of the acts was sentenced to 54 years in federal prison Monday — more than twice as much time she was hoping to receive as part of her plea deal.

Prosecutors said Sarah and Jonathan Adleta made having sex with their two children a part of their parenting plan, and even after they divorced, the abuse continued.

Sarah Adleta pleaded guilty to two charges in May and testified against her ex-husband during his graphic trial last month.

Jonathan and Sarah Adleta's children were doomed to a life of perverse cruelty before they were even born.

Jonathan Adleta, a former Marine officer, dreamed of the day he could have "daddy-daughter sex." After Sarah Adleta became pregnant with a daughter, he said he would marry her only if she agreed to let him carry out that desire. When the couple had a son, Sarah Adleta was expected to have sexual encounters with him.........

Sarah Adleta, who testified for several hours this week wearing Orange County Jail garb, said she initially struggled with the concept and thought Jonathan Adleta would lose interest in it.

But she loved him, needed his financial security and said she would do whatever it took to not lose him, she told jurors.

Gable told jurors the couple made sex with their children "part of their parenting plan."........

Then he divorced her but the abuse continued on Skype.

By the spring of 2012, Jonathan Adleta had found a new girlfriend who agreed to let him victimize her daughter.

The girlfriend, 23-year-old Samantha Bryant — a Texas mother he met on a dating website — testified this week that she watched as Jonathan Adleta molested her daughter. On at least one occasion, she took pictures of the assault.........

It doesn't say where the children are, pretty sure in state care. I hope they get the treatment and love to recover and never have to see these depraved people? again. I've seen and heard just about everything, worked with it and this is just incomprehensible.

I can understand women who are so beaten down with domestic violence that they can't see a way to stop it so go along. I can't understand a woman who goes into a relationship with a man knowing he wants to have sex with any children they have.

I can somewhat understand women who don't believe they can stand on their own two feet and make a life for themselves. Way back when, when I was young, that was more the norm than today. Still, some women, and men, will not understand they have to stand tall, and the only help they have/need is at the end of their own two arms - their hands.

This stuff makes me furious.

Oh god, these poor babies. Reading the full article was excruciating. The rage that builds in me towards these ... I don't want a time out. They better be punished to the full extent of the law. Where do these women come from? How can a man get them to do this to their children. Ugh- depraved. Heart broken for these little people, how will they recover?

Someone I knw all too well adopted a cousin of mine from another country. She was picked w a purpose, little did anyone know.....until 40'yrs passed. I'm still dealing w the fall out. I don't Hv any tips either on how to do that, where to put that, how awful it is to find that out about a family member.....and as to what happened, he has gone unpunished and we hope for his death. There isn't much you can do when that much time passes and thn your closest family refuses to believe, any of it. And still includes the perp in their lives...it's sickening....but yes this does happen. So very sad. I can't wait for his death. I knw that is awful but am sorry, he doesn't deserve to breathe the same air I do. That's how I feel.

I'm so sorry Cherry- no he doesn't deserve to breathe the same air as you. I believe most of these people are way lost causes- rehabilitation doesn't work. Women and children are expendable is the bottom line for me. Sigh.

His own child had to only be about 2 or 3 when he started sexually abusing her. He then tells the ex wife to find another man to sexually abuse the child when he is not there. Depraved, sicko. What causes these people to have such sickening traits and for two people of such minds to meet up. Not just once but he then found another woman who allowed him to sexually assault her daughter and then she took photos of the assault. The mind boggles . Were these people born like this? If this is how they get their kicks they can never be rehabilitated. Life in prison is the only answer. Or if they get parole a lobotomy before they are released.

and the guy was a marine - officer even. How did he pass the background checks? Not asking for an answer - just asking from frustration.

ETA: yeah, don't read the article if you have a weak stomach or ARE HUMAN. He was still active duty while this was going on. And faces 10 year to life. How does the sentence even start at 10 years? How are these children even expected to have any sense of a normal childhood - and the repercusions as they get older... abusers so often beget abusers. Hope there is good quality therapy for these little ones for a long long time. And people who love and protect them.

I think castration and removal of arms too would help ! sadly people are becoming insensitive and no one is easily shocked so everything bizarre is becoming more "normal" there are people who are reading the story and it does not disturb them:facepalm: sickening!

Sloane, this story disturbs me!!! Sickening is an understatement.

I know quite a few marines and have plenty of servicemen in my family. Any one of them would deliver swift and painful punishment on him if given the chance. How I wish they had that chance!

As for the mothers...I can't even come up with words strong enough to describe the hatred I feel towards them.

I hope these babies have somewhere soft to land.

they planned all this prior to even getting pregnant! Was there ever any pleasure of being pregannt? Did dad just fantasize as her belly grew? Was anyone pleased when these kids were born... ugh, so angry all over again! I have to not visit this thread anymore. It is all out of our control.

I really get a twitch when these news stories emphasize the male perpetrator's sentence/possible sentence and seem to downplay that of the female perpetrator. Hang 'em both, as someone said above. And this whole business where we give a female perpetrator some kind of walk card because she is the weaker sex is ********e. The excuses we make for females who perpetrate horrible crimes against children! We wouldn't even think of making excuses for a male perpetrator.

Psychologically abused? Don't care. Still going to jail for just as long as your accomplice.

In principle I agree with you, but I think in this case she got a lighter sentence for giving evidence against him. Its a shame they needed to, but if they had to in order to get him put away forever then so be it.
