Yes I believe every law abiding citizen should carry a firearm. I also believe every child between 8 and 16 should be taught that some people carry firearms and will shoot you just for mouthing off! It just might save one of their lives!

I raised my sons to be respectful, without having to tell them that if they weren't respectful, someone would shoot them. That, IMO, would be a horrible way to grow up. :twocents:

No, they don't. They don't have to prove anything. In Florida if they claim SYG the get a hearing so they can prove that. MD hasn't asked for that hearing!

Not stand your ground, self defense. There's a difference, or am I wrong? You keep saying the prosecution didn't prove their case because they didn't prove Jordan didn't threaten Dunn (I think they did). What they have to prove is that the murder is premeditated. The defense has to prove that it was self defense. Do you really think they did that? Based on what evidence, I ask? You STILL haven't said.

Hi everyone! I love jury watch! So the judge has called it a night, eh? Nancy Grace is acting as if they are still deliberating. SMH.

Agree. He is one of the best!

No nonsense and moved along quickly.

There you go! Can't get anymore biased the that!

It was sarcasm moby, and I have a feeling you know that.

I think there's a good chance he doesn't. JMO

Yea, he obviously looked for a store with a group of four young black males to shoot up that night!

I don't recall anyone ever saying that he did or implying that he did. Road ragers don't go looking for people who piss them off. People have to piss them off first. I think that's what happened here.

Why would you ask a car full of kids in a dangerous area at a gas station to turn their music down when you'd only have to deal with the sound for about 5 minutes tops? Sounds antagonistic to me.

I mean, you have a right to ask and they have a right to say no. They aren't hurting anybody with their music. Have you asked people in cars in public areas to turn their loud music down before?

There were other spots farther down available too.

I live near Jacksonville, I know just how dangerous it is. I would have asked to turn it down also. and I would have said thank you when they did. If one made a verbal threat to me, I wouldn't have had to go into the glove box and I keep a live one in the chamber.

I am so sorry. That must be an awful feeling. I have always chosen to use words first, but then again, I don't own a gun. Respectfully, I think it is incumbent of everyone to react with caution, instead of violence. If you have a way of removing yourself from a situation, that should be first. If not, and the threat is real, game on.

Because I have hearing problems to begin with low loud noises hurt me and Yes, I have asked before and I can't think of a time with no one didn't comply. It's a matter of being civil!

I guessing the ones who were on probation or brought in shackles have more credibility?!

Would you have us believe that the man in shackles lied about the license plate number on Dunn's car? Thank goodness that criminal was there, otherwise I do not think an arrest would have ever been made.

I think I am in love with this judge.

Me, too. :loveyou::loveyou::loveyou:

He reminds me of the first judge in the Casey Anthony case. Was it Judge Strickland? Very even temperament.

  • #229
They didn't shoot Jordan Davis... so yes, they have more credibility. The Defendant himself is brought to court in shackles every day, right?? The kid who was on probation has more credibility than the guy defending his life and has EVERY reason in the world to lie. The witness who is now in jail wasn't in jail when this happened. What exactly is the point you are trying to make?
The point is I don't believe them anymore then I believe him! Some people can't see their own bias.

And if they said no and stared swearing at you, you'd unload a clip in them? I mean, again, it's a gas station, you won't have to deal with it long and you could park father away and roll your window up. I'm of course placing you in Dunn's situation.

Yeah, the world would be a much better place if paranoid schizophrenics, psychopaths, racists, anti government idiots and everyone else who's never been trained on when to discharge or not discharge a firearm like a policeman has been, had a gun. I have to disagree with that.

He did that himself by lying.

^^^ That!

I'm outta here. There's nothing that's going to settle any arguments anymore.

Have you ever pointed a firearm at someone with the knowledge you may have to use it, I have it's not as easy as it looks on TV!

I have had one pointed at my face in an armed robbery. I think my pointing it at someone else would be a lot easier on my psyche.

I grew up on a farm, you could shoot a high powered rifle in any direction and hit only corn stalks or pine trees. The simple fact is teach children to be polite because someone just may be crazy enough to shoot you if you are not! It makes the world a better place.

It's not bias. We watched the trial. His lies were exposed. We read his letters. His hate was exposed. He has a mean and dishonest nature, even according to people who knew him. He has issues. Jordan had never been in trouble before, never been involved in criminal activity, made good grades and was planning on joining the military.

Who's biased?

Her show is pre-recorded. So while she is talking, it is still in deliberation.

Im sorry, I laughed out loud at this. So someone is sitting in their car and listening to it loud... And you actually roll down the window and ask them to turn it down?

Oh boy..

I wonder if it was sinatra blaring if it would have bothered him...

The state is making the claims, accusations, charges he is not claiming anything! The state has the burden of proof.

Why don't we teach people not to shoot mouthy, obnoxious teens just because? The world would be a much better place then, I think. [modsnip]
