Agreed, she's lacking and I often don't understand the point she's trying to make. Strolla was so much better. The prosecution seems about the same, but I think as it moves along they'll try and correct some of the mistakes they made the first time around.

Strolla is a very competent dude.

In all honesty friends, I am concerned about a hung jury again. Both sides have had time to revise their stuff and prepare more. I hope to be wrong. It's happened before (usually involving a wedding dress, but that's O/T)

can we just fast forward to the girlfriend? xthxbai?

what happens if a witness contradicts her-his previous testimony?

I am too. I am less concerned with a not-guilty verdict because, in my opinion, there is no way 12 people will believe that the defendant's actions were justified.

At least he's going to jail for pretty much the rest of his life anyway. Jordan just deserves justice. He's the one who was killed.

Yep, no way this is going for NG. He is charged with 2nd DM, right? Lesser offenses?

Yeah, he's charged with first degree murder but they can give him a lesser offense. I'd be apt to call this second degree myself but what bumps this up to first degree for me was him getting out of the car to continue shooting. At that point it goes from rage shooting to shooting with intent. And all the bullets went straight into Jordan's side, which tells me he very purposefully aimed right at him, with the intent to kill him.

Oh, so it is first degree. Cool. That makes a lot of things clear(er). Thanks!

IIRC in the first trial there was some doubt about whether or not he felt that he was about to be attacked because the door was opening. It was the door beginning to open that caused him to fire his weapon. That doubt was illustrated by the defense with dowls in the bullet holes showing trajectory that would indicate the door was open for the first shots. This may have hung the jury.

Is she reading a cue card?

  • #132
Well, this is weird. Don't think I have ever seen the likes before.

  • #133
They are reading the testimony of Jordan's girlfriend. She is not available to testify. So, her testimony from the last trial is being read to the jury.

Just tuned back and in got confused for a split second. I was like, that's not her lol. It's odd indeed.

Dunn done for today. Back tomorrow 9 a.m. EST

  • #136
The last defense attorney was Cory Strolla (sp?). Jury knows it's being read into the record.

gnite folks.... c-ya tomorrow:loveyou:

Judge tells attorneys to be prepared to go to 6 p.m. tomorrow. Overestimate number of witnesses if necessary. (they ran short today)

  • #139
Judge tells attorneys Saturday will be a full day. Wants to use time to the fullest.
Really admire how Judge runs a courtroom.

thanks for the updates, everyone. I really want to watch this one, but I am very busy this week/weekend. I will have to be content to pop in when I can. I know you all will do a good job with keeping things posted as they happen. Good work!
