New statement from Sheriff about an hour ago. No new info.

There is a 3rd bloodhound team on the ground, this is the third independent dog/handler they have used. FBI and Florida Bureau of Investigations are meeting with the Sheriff this morning to discuss next steps.

The body of water on the property is a swamp, not a lake, so divers are not going in at this time, it's not accessible by boat.

Four sex offenders in the area, all were interviewed and their movements were able to be verified.

Oh, to add, they did see a heat signature in the water overnight, but it turned out to be a group of otters. The sheriff confirmed that searchers have encountered wildlife, but no alligators.

Hopefully he's lost in the woods and will respond to his name being called. Does this family compound have any cameras at all? No other family member saw this little tyke wander off?

DAY 2: Search for missing toddler Jose Lara continues in Putnam County.
3 bloodhound teams, 2 air units, dozens of deputies are involved.
FBI and FDLE are now responding, although that does NOT mean this is necessarily criminal.
Deputies asking people to follow case and share picture, but do not need volunteers right now.
I never used too give another thought too bloodhound search’s till we had a neighbor with Alzheimer’s go missing next door too my sister’s in Homestead. Those dogs were tugging hard heading south for miles. He was found 12 hours later north.

I haven't heard them address cameras, but at least the front of the property is surrounded by a chain link fence, so it seems like a family that is concerned with safety; cameras are possible. The sheriff called the residence a compound, and emphasized a couple of times that a lot of people live there, and that there are several houses on the property. It seems like, based on that, someone should have seen him. That could also be why the mom felt safe leaving him alone to go inside; she may have thought there were always people around, and someone would keep an eye on him. MOO

I noticed the front fence also, but there appears to be a gap in the front fence closure. I wonder if he could have slipped through an opening. I would also like to know if the whole compound was fenced. I had so hoped, along with my fellow sleuthers, that when I awoke this am we would have heard good news. It may be possible that many family members were employed at farms or nurseries and many may have been working the weekend.

I wonder if the FBI is involved because they are also questioning an abduction. Poor Putnam LE. They also handled the Haleigh Cummings case.

JB Biunno is on Live Stream about an update. I'm late to all this.

It seems he's been found and passed.

It seems that there was an accidental fall.

There was an area near the home where there was a septic tank, that was covered by brush and debris and plywood. They had noticed that some of the area was disturbed. He is believed to have fallen into the septic tank.

ETA: It wasn't searched earlier as it didn't seem like the area was disturbed.
