Awww. Plasma :blowkiss: That is sweet. I one time gave a homeless man some money who was at a street corner around xmas time. I felt so bad for him. I know there are "scammers" out there but I am a softy.
I will not give them money, but if they are hungry, I have no problem getting them some food. I had one homeless alcoholic guy chase me into a store when I told him I wouldn't give him any money. He called my a beyotch and started chasing me. I must admit the experience made me resort to carrying pepper spray, and I still don't give them money.

I have to tell you all what my FIL said the other day, I thought he was joking and he was not. I said that I thought celebrities should give those expensive bags they recieve to charity or to the poor. I mean its crazy that millionares get to keep these for free. So he actually said that people are poor because they want to be. They choose that. I was speechless.

We had a little old lady that every body called "crazy Mary" (her name was atually Bernice. Anyway, she would walk from one side of town to the other all day long picking through garbage cans, while pushing her shopping cart. She had this little dog that would ride in that cart all day, it was her companion. I always thought that she was a homeless person from her physical appearance and her cart. I found out one day that she was a widow of a doctor, and had inherited $$$$ from the estate. She went off the deep end when he died, and started shuffling around town. Her son made sure that there was always food in her fridge, and anything else that she could need. She would give the food away to other homeless people and go about ehr "mary" way. She died several years ago...of natural causes.

Couldn't find any MSM except for an April 2008 Miami Herald article posted on the website of one of the defense attorneys in the case, Bruce Lehr:

http://www.brucelehrpa.com/newsroom... in homeless beating death - Miami Herald.pdf

A woman and three men pleaded guilty Tuesday to manslaughter charges in connection with the beating death of a homeless man.

Janice Guillem, 19, her boyfriend, Magdiel Wingfield, 29, and two friends, Kevin Stone, 27, and Jason Cardenas, 21, were all sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years probation.
