Police search for missing man seen leaving Fort Lauderdale hospital

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing man who was last seen leaving a Broward County hospital.

According to officials, 42-year-old Josue Garcia-Nunez was last seen leaving Broward Health Imperial Point Hospital wearing a hospital gown, last week.

He suffers from schizophrenia and depression.

Garcia-Nunez stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

He relocated to South Florida from Puerto Rico prior to Hurricane Irma.

Odd that it appears no one saw him outside the hospital wearing a gown. No last seen place away from the hospital and no direction of where he was heading.

It is also disturbing because he suffers from schizophrenia and depression. I wonder if he takes meds daily?

Hi,

This is my uncle and he was discharged on the 10/13 at 9 am from the hospital. Because of the language barrier he was sent to the bus and forced by a security guard ( who gave him a bus ticket) and now he's missing. The hospital never called me nor notified me of his release. Please share and if you do see him please contact the police.

The bus should have some sort of security video, I would assume.

Detectives have located the missing male Josue Garcia-Nunez. He was located in the City of Fort Lauderdale. Garica-Nunez is in good condition and with his family.
