She knew all along she wasn't her mother and she got a dna test to prove it.
Did she know all along? Or recently? I saw it was recent.

Ahhh, Niq, I just read the whole thread and hoped you'd still be around!
When it comes to sentencing do you think Kamiyah/Alexis will have any say in what her mother/abductor gets?
It was just about 3 p.m. on a hot, partly cloudy Friday. A woman had been roaming for 14 hours in University Medical Center, now known as Shands Jacksonville, asking about Mobleys baby. She then spent five hours with the mother and child before saying Kamiyah had a fever and needed to be checked..... The case was featured on CNN and Americas Most Wanted.
I have nothing but sympathy for this poor young girl. Her life has been turned upside down.
But I can't agree that the kidnapper gave her a better life. Any person who would go to such lengths to steal a 5 hrs old infant from its mother must not be a truly kind and loving person, even to the child they stole. It takes a twisted, selfish, manipulative, sociopathic person to do such a thing.
Having a nice home, clothes and material things alone dont make a good life or upbringing. This poor girl was raised by a monster, and damage will last a lifetime.

Not too likely this was much of a "better life' .... seems there 25 moves and constant financial difficulties through these 18 years, at the least.:
25 previous addresses for Williams in South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and New York
Other than the kidnapping arrest, Williams' criminal history is limited to charges of writing bad checks, welfare fraud and multiple traffic tickets. She was arrested in 2003 in Greenville, South Carolina, for breach of trust.
Court records show Williams was taken to court nine other times over financial issues.

The I-TEAM found 25 previous addresses for Williams in South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and New York. There's no record of her ever living in Florida. Many of those residences were in Gwinnett County, near metro Atlanta.
The family was evicted at least six times from six different addresses.
…most recently lived in a Habitat for Humanity home that had been built for the family in Walterboro, South Carolina.
