Okeechobee: Family searches for missing mom
"For the last 16 months, Okeechobee police have investigated while family have hung missing posters and posted all over social media. Everybody has been searching. There has not been a single sighting of Sherman.

“I pray every day that we find my sister. I never thought it would be this long,” Hornsby said. “It’s been one of the hardest things a family has to go through.”

“According to police, Sherman, the mother of two young children, was last seen in May of 2020 at her apartment on Northeast Park St. in Okeechobee.

Hornsby said her sister was living there with her boyfriend. Hornsby said Sherman was also living in the same town as their father, and the two used to speak all the time. But then Sherman stopped answering her phone.”

Zen, thank you for starting this thread. I don't know this young lady, but came across her story as I had spent time in the town where she went missing. I would drive by the building where she reportedly lived.

The big "O" they call that lake. And the town named after it is Okeechobee, "cowtown". It's a mix of varying people, Black, White, Hispanic, Seminole, etc.

I have first hand reports that cocaine and meth flow freely.

Okeechobee is somewhat isolated from the rest of Florida, due to the fact it has the lake to the south, and the East, West, and North consist of miles and miles of open, flat, land consisting of primarily HUGE cattle ranches. Lots of wide open space.
