Sorry for the spelling in my previous post (felony). Some quotes from the article:

Witnesses say David Perry stalked the young cadet and her best friend that entire weekend. In fact, sources say, Perry followed them to a local Publix supermarket.

Even detectives say Perry was obsessed.

Pinellas detective Michael Bailey said, "We have a very tight timeline of the stalking case. There's time frames. There's phone calls. There's traveling, there's all kinds of things happening. There's a very tight timeline on the stalking case."

"Basically, they follow the person, excessive phone calling, wanting to know their whereabouts, tracking the person down, wanting to know their every move, that type of thing. So that's what happened in this case, without giving any details of it," Detective Bailey told 10 News.

Right now, detectives say, there's simply not enough evidence to charge Perry with murder. But the charge of felony stalking may be a possibility.

Basically, the search resulted in eliminating more area's she is not. Every area checked off, brings us one step closer to finding her.

Clearwater Police investigating reports of dead body in storage unit

CLEARWATER — Police discovered a woman's body in a rented storage unit Thursday afternoon after the tenant reported that something in the unit needed to be investigated.
At around 3 p.m., police put up crime scene tape around unit B8 at U-Stor Self Storage, 1217 Lakeview Road, and around a long box that was pulled out of the brick storage unit.
A police officer at the scene said the box, painted navy blue with white handles, has what "appears" to be a body in it. At 3 p.m., police were just beginning their investigation and had not released any details.
Kevin McKeon, district manager for U-Stor, said the business received a call Monday from the person who rents unit B8. The tenant said the unit had something suspicious in it that needed to be checked out, McKeon said. More at link

The owner of the storage unit called to report that there was something suspicious in the unit?! Wow!! I wonder if they were worried that the unit was going to go up for auction. At any rate, it makes the owner of the unit very suspicious indeed. They called to inform someone that there was "something suspicious"; therefore, they had personal knowledge of that "suspicious" item.

They'd been delinquent since 12/1/11 so it's probably been there for sometime, atleast a few months.

This news article has a pic of the box and some other items that where in the storage unit. Creepy! It looks sort of like a coffin.

I have my doubts that this is Kelly. I would love for her family to receive some knowledge of her whereabouts, but this just doesn't fit for me. Given the information is very lacking at this point, I could very well be wrong.

Hoping that 2012 will bring Kelly home for a proper burial. I just do not beleive that Kelly is alive; and I hope beyond hope that they can prosecute the that took her life.

There was a dive team that searched some areas on 1/28 with another dive search planned. Please keep the dive team, Donna, and the Rothwell family in your prayers.
