I guess that means the husband is NOT missing as some of articles above speculated on.

I don't know..... It would seem that Could be the case......
or it was the writer's way of writing...... so who knows?
IMOO.

It is interesting to note that in this article:
http://members.jacksonville.com/new...e-search-endangered-wife-husband-dogs-missing

" “At this time, foul play is suspected,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a brief news release that gave no other details. Police did not give specific information about Mackey’s husband, whose name was not released. "

They aren't releasing info about her husband, which is odd to me.....

Police tell family they're searching for missing woman's body

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --
The search for a missing woman appears to have evolved into an effort to recover her body.

Mackey's brother in Michigan, Jesse Rodriguez, confirmed to First Coast News that the Mackey family received a phone call from Detective Dennis Sullivan with JSO Friday notifying the family that Mackey's ex-husband, Jeff Mackey, allegedly admitted to her death. Police told the family that Jeff would be taking investigators to Kimberly's body.

This is so sad, and they have 2 teenage sons, too, according to the article.
No wonder the "ex" husband wasn't listed as "Missing" per say...... and no wonder more info on the "ex" husband was not released..... and now he is going to take the authorities to her body, and he allegedly admitted to her death....... The article calls him the "ex" husband......
IMOO.

http://jacksonville.com/news/crime/...lle-woman-located-buried-missouri-ex-arrested

"Update 4:10 p.m.: The ex-husband, 58-year-old Jeff Mackey, was arrested in St. Augustine and Kimberly Mackey’s body was located in Excelsior, Mo., buried in a gully and covered with rocks."

Couldn't find an Excelsior, MO, but there's an Excelsior Springs just outside Kansas City. That's an 1,140 mile drive from Jacksonville. And another 1,140 miles to drive back. This guy had thousands of woods, swamps, rivers, etc to choose from that are much closer, so why there?

ETA: http://www.kctv5.com/story/25672515/missing-florida-womans-body-found-in-clay-county-gully

Media outlets in the Jacksonville area reported Monday afternoon that the woman's body was found in a gully in Excelsior Springs and it was covered with rocks.

It wasn't immediately clear the couple's connection to Missouri.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says her ex-husband confessed to the murder to investigators this morning after they found him at a hotel in St. Augustine.

Police say they recovered Mackey's body in Missouri. They believe she was murdered in the trailer she and Jeffrey Mackey were living in together. Investigators say he covered her body in a blanket, placed her in his car and then drove her to Missouri.

Investigators say Mackey hadn't returned to work which was unusual. Her ex-husband apparently told police he had last seen her at 10:30pm on Monday night, riding away with another man on a motorcycle.

Police said they actually had missing-persons reports filed for both her and her former husband, Jeffrey Mackey. Police found him in Missouri and detectives flew there to interview him...

Detectives returned to Jacksonville to continue to investigate and soon learned Mackey was also back to Florida and staying at a St. Augustine motel. When they asked him to come in for a second interview, Mackey changed his story to say he killed her after they had an argument and he buried the body in Missouri...

Jacksonville police have returned there to recover the body. They believe she was shot, but the cause of death will be determined by an autopsy.

And this answers another question about him being Missing/Not Missing per say:

" Butler said that when the initial missing person’s report was issued, one was issued for both Kimberly and Jeffrey, but later limited to only Kimberly when contact was made with Jeffrey while he was in Missouri. "

Dammit. Not again. :(
Amen, this is becoming typical, horrible, insert adjective. Ktgirl has a 'save the next girl' link on her posts. I'm so tired of this. I despair.
