The father is currently renting out two nice homes that he owns valued at over $200,000 in the beaches area, and living in the third home he just purchased in October of last year near the intracoastal. I saw the address on the death record stating that's where he resides. The home that Kristina had just moved into before her death. I didn't know correctional officer's made that much to afford so many homes. I guess if there is rental income?

Not sure about FL but in CA their union (CCPOA) is the strongest in the state and they get lots of OT. They make good money.

We don't know what his financial circumstances are. He could possibly have maybe inherited money, won the lottery, be in major debt, whatever.
He isn't under investigation, right?

I don't see any updates out there.
His next pretrial hearing is set for March 27.

The list of witnesses were listed on the clerk of the courts site. A handful of minors are testifying, as well as a store clerk in PA and Buffalo Border Patrol. I wonder if it will be live broadcast on the internet like the news stations broadcasted the last few murder trials in Jacksonville?

Looking at the evidence documents, it shows search warrants were issued for an instagram and website gmail account for https://www.instagram.com/p/BbroSScDbmu/?hl=en&taken-by=gopnik_world_red_news_radio
The comments on the instagram have comments "you shot your grandmother" and the last posts were made Nov 17, and looks like the website was created in November, too. When I looked at the Estate of Kristina French, it had charges on her credit card for a Wix. Wonder if his grandmother caught him using her credit card to create the site?

A similar case in Jacksonville in the news today, where a 18 year old killed his grandmother because she hid his beer. He just took a plea deal, pleaded guilty and got 20 years in prison with 1.5 years served being deducted. Had he gone to court and lost, he would chance being sentenced to life.
