It's a very shocking claim. I do share some skepticism with the detectives, simply because Racki did such a poor job of concealing his role in Laikyn's death.

Why would have he claimed that, if that weren’t somehow close to reality ?

I suppose LE is looking into his previous residences too (FL, NY..)

I can't help but wonder if the 4 in the hand written note was actually a capital 'a' and not a 4? I'm not sure why they would report it if it was an error like that tho?

Based on the Fox 13 article, it sounds like Racki made the statement to a nurse after his suicide attempt. It's not exactly clear from the article though, so those are my inferences. The nurse described Racki as 'oriented', but oriented in relation to what? He lied about having chloroform to clean car seats but claimed he never used it on Laikyn until later confessing, for example. Would he have been perfectly oriented with reality and not inclined to lie after a suicide attempt that put him in the hospital for a week?
