They have movies all the time, guests also sit on the beach nightly to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. Yes, there are alligators all over in Florida, but not usually in this area, and it's not a common occurrence.

I guess I am coming at it from an Australian perspective. We stay right out the way of crocs. They terrify me.

I thought he said wading, he later says about a foot into the water.

Oh Dear! they were wading in the water near the shore at night,not a good idea,they feed at night.

Child was playing in the water about a foot in. Gator attacked. Father struggled with the gator to get the child but was unsuccessful.

A foot into the water is what the parents said...they could have been swimming farther from the shore.
