  • #41
Timeline as of 7/1/20
  • Lauren is last seen by live-in boyfriend on June 19th at 4927 Coronado Parkway Apartment #1 (no time is given).
  • An unidentified man told police he saw Lauren June 19 around 8 a.m. and waved at her. He said, the day before, Lauren asked him about available apartments, saying she “wanted to get out of the situation she was in.”
  • June 19th Lauren's purse is found at Four Freedoms Park (not stated who found it or time).
  • Lauren did not call her Dad on Fathers Day-June 19th, which is extremely out of character for her.
  • Dad calls and reports her missing on Tuesday, June 21st after not being able to reach her.

  • CCPD elevated Lauren’s case to endangered because, when someone disappears voluntarily, they take their belongings, a wallet, a phone. In this case, she did not.

We can add to this....
July 2nd, Lauren's Red Shirt was found near the shore of the same park where her purse was found..... her sister searched daily and now suddenly it appeared... and did not look wet as if it had washed ashore.

I live in the area and have joined the search team. Can you please give me a screenshot of the places you have mentioned so I can check? Thanks!
It would be the entire street from Coronado to the park. I will probably see you there!

Ugh now “someone” is planting evidence... hope someone near the park has cameras to see who might have passed by with said shirt recently o_O

Is it already confirmed she wore that specific piece of clothing the day she was last seen? Because otherwise where is that piece of clothing coming from?

So they have been all over that park every day, multiple times a day, IMO they are being observed. Because that shirt looks preserved, and not sandy or washed up at all.

Thank you Magz & DoodleFly for searching for Lauren!!

Can you look for cameras in the area, and the apartments and houses that border the area?

It sure does look like the shirt may have been planted, pretty strange that it randomly showed up? What if someone who lives in those apartments is watching searchers. creepy thought.

  • On July 2, Lauren's sister finds a burgundy lace shirt on the beach. It looks like a shirt Lauren frequently wore, LE is conducting forensic examination to see if does belong to Lauren. Searchers had been in the area two times a day, the shirt was not there previously and appears to have been placed recently.

Is this park frequented by the homeless? One thing I’ve heard, and I can’t verify of course, so JMO, is that the homeless will collect items they don't necessarily need. Just because they can or they use an item to barter with. Maybe a shirt that was left behind and they stuff it in their bag. They don’t recognize any significance to the item. Later, at some point as they’re going thru their bag, that item falls out. They’re unaware they’ve left an item behind.

I thought about the homeless too. Her purse was also found at the park, there are no details about who found it, just that it was found on June 19th. That was prior to Lauren even being reported missing. Musing if the purse and shirt were together or in different locations? Would a homeless person turn in the purse but keep the shirt? So many unanswered questions.

For consideration in areas to watch the park from: the Sunset Towers are two 7 story mid-rise condo buildings on the northwest corner of the park.

There are also 2 floor condo units directly across the Bimini basin that would afford a great view of the beach area where the shirt was found.

Boats also anchor often in the basin directly in front of the beach area.

This area is in what I would call the hub of our homeless community. I hope that the homeless community has been spoken with and notified about Lauren.

Also for search consideration:

Where does Lauren grocery shop, pick up sundries, etc. what route does she walk to get to those places?

Has the attic access a over her 4plex over all 4 units been searched?

How thoroughly was her apartment there searched considering someone lives there with her?

When was her last and next shift at the Taco Bell?

Cape Coral woman still missing after 19 days, father pleads for her safe Return

“A lot of people knew her and it was like from her house to here is maybe an eighth of a mile, and for nobody to know nothing,” he said. “It’s really frustrating.”

He’s not alone. A Facebook group created by SWFL Helping Hands organized a search for Lauren Tuesday night at Four Freedoms Park starting at 5 p.m. Paul says he doesn’t know the organizers but believes it could be a gamechanger.

“Just for a community to be that caring and that giving of their time and to find and help find another family that they have no idea, just out of the kindness of their heart, is amazing. It’s beautiful,” he said.

He’s hoping against hope, someone is holding his daughter and will let her go.

“If you give me my daughter and I can take her, I’ll walk away. That’s it. I’m done. That’s my word, I give you my word on that,” Paul said. “Not knowing is worse, it’s worse, it’s hard.”

Her father won’t be in Cape Coral for the organized search tonight, as he says he’s looking for her in another location where he believes she may have been.

If you see or know anything about Lauren, please call the police.

I hope he has others with him when he goes to this other location. I’d hate for him to be alone and stumble into something unsafe. You just never know.

SWFL Helping Hands Facebook post dated today.
When you bring a Facebook post over to Websleuths it copies the entire post. I tried to shorten it by deleting some extra spacing.

SEARCH TEAM MASSIVE THREAD. IF YOUR COMING TONIGHT PLEASE READ #FindLauren #BringLaurenHome

Today we will meet at Four Freedoms Park to search for Lauren. When you arrive please social distance. Mask use is encouraged however there is no mask mandate. I will be wearing one. Please don't ask me to police masks I have enough duties today and there is no law so its pointless to force it. We will not be together more than a few minutes before we all go our seperate ways. Please arrive promptly at 5pm.

When you arrive we will break up in teams. Depending on how many people we have will determine how many people will be in each team. The teams will be assigned at the meetup. Due to cost we will not be printing out grid maps. Instead I will assign a leader who has a cellphone and show them where their team will be searching. We have about 500 flyers total. If you speak to someone you to do not need to give them a flyer. As you knock on doors make sure to stay back 6 feet. Ask them if they have seen Lauren. Show them the flyer. If the person is not home leave a flyer. Submit any leads to Tips — Cape Coral Police Department. Don't be afraid to Yell Lauren as you are walking. She could be in any house waiting to be rescued. Act like she is.

Directions:

Walk along the area your assigned side by side, arm-length apart try and maintain the same pace as your team.

If you come across something suspicious tag an area near it with a piece of bright paper (we will provide it to the team laeder) and submit the tip here: Tips — Cape Coral Police Department and email

Take a picture of any and all things you find that you feel are relevant and give them to the police. You can submit these to tips and photos at Tips — Cape Coral Police Department. Make sure to explain where you found it. Do not touch it leave it there.

If its something very suspicious such as something bad like a gun, knife, etc call the Cape Coral Police (239) 574-3223

Do not forget about trees, cliffs, ditches, canals etc

Knock on doors but only when your with ppl. Never go inside anyone’s home. Knock on doors with one other person with you always for your protection. Even if your a man. Very important A lot of people have doorbell cams these days so if you knock on doors near the park or Lauren’s home ask ppl if they would be willing to look at their cameras on the 19, 20, or 21st. If they find anything on their cam please make sure to tell them how to submit a tip here:Tips — Cape Coral Police Department Do not forget to ask this. This is the single biggest thing you can do to help find Lauren. Make sure to leave the Cape Coral police’s phone (239) 574-3223 number and ask them to save and report anything suspicious. If the person at the door wishes to submit a tip ask them to take out their phone and submit the tip @https://www.capecops.com/tips and help them submit it and see that it is done immediately. Encourage them to do it now with you or they may not do it later. Make sure to stay 6 feet away.

Be mentally prepared and alert at all times.

Watch for suspicious behavior

Make sure you hand out flyers and give information to any of the people you come across.

Also be on the lookout video cameras near four freedoms park and Lauren’s home. You can later ask the owner to view them or ask the police to analyze the footage.

Teams- Feel free to drive your car to the area your assigned. Once finished you may leave. Each team will have a leader and I will give that leader my phone number. Please bring your phones FULLY charged or you will not be a leader. As the leader it is you who will be responsible for submitting any tip to the police your team finds. Each team will be given a set number of flyers to hand out

The Cape Coral Police are not putting on this event. This event is being put on by the community. Your coming at your own risk and we assume no liability for your health or safety. The police were invited.

If LE is friendly with them, they can be a great resource.

Absolutely a great resource. I have seen some of them out and about here for 20 years.
