The boyfriend stated that he took a lie detector test when questioned by LE.
...But LE couldn’t comment on whether he did or did not take one.
It’s linked up thread I believe closer to beginning of thread

Oh and the boyfriend stated he passed the lie detector test.
Also, no confirmation from LE.

Regarding the boyfriend:
I question whether he’s guilty of something associated with LD’s disappearance or whether he just makes some questionable choices.
For ex: They’re relationship may not have been on the best terms. I’m not sure how to know. LD’s dad talked to her regularly but hadn’t seen her in 2 years & stated he really didn’t know too much about the bf. But if they’re relationship was rocky, maybe that’s part of why the boyfriend took as long as he did to report her missing to LE; maybe he was thinking she was off somewhere or thought she’d left. Idk...I am just trying to think of any possible scenario.
Maybe he took a lie detector test, maybe not and he’s saying that to try & save face....maybe he’s hiding something.
I feel like we really need to know if he was actually at work that day, especially that morning from 6ish-noon.
When the boyfriend stated he thought she may be off with the wrong people doing drugs in the beginning, he may have meant that or may have been just trying to act ugly towards LD because he thought she’d left. And then when he realized she was really missing, took back what he said by saying he don’t believe she went off to do drugs.
Again, just trying to brainstorm anything that may help!

As far as the maintenance man/witness:
He may be a friendly concerned citizen or he may have a part in LD’s disappearance.
If we knew his name, we could check for prior history etc.
If he’s just this friendly guy then LD may have built a relationship with him as the maintenance man, someone she saw daily. He may be friendly as such to most the tenants.
But...he could have something to do with her disappearance. He could easily learn her schedule, him being around often wouldn’t cause alarm, and he would most likely have access to her apartment. Also the belongings found were in close proximity from the apartment complex/where this man worked.
Again, I’m not sure what I’m more inclined to go with! Just throwing out ideas!
It’s a sad situation. She’s been missing too long!

I've been lurking here for a bit, and signed up because of some of the comments on here. One of the main refrains I see on here is why people don't come forward with information. Read the comments here about the neighbor and trying to tie him into it and you will see exactly why.

Could you elaborate a little more on what you mean?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what there is to elaborate on? Why would I put my name out there for people on the internet to try and slander my name, not to mention that there isn't much trust in law enforcement in this country in the first place as well.

First, thank you for sharing your opinion on the matter.
I don’t believe it is so much as WS members TRYING TO tie an individual to a person’s disappearance. I believe it’s more brainstorming possibilities based on information linked from sources.
Yes, members express their opinions or speculate various scenarios but they make sure to include that it is merely that and nothing more, especially slander. That is not allowed here at all!
There are numerous threads here that link accounts of witnesses coming forth and providing valuable information to LE. I would hope the actions of WS members wouldn’t hinder witnesses in sharing information that may help solve a case.
As far as LE not being trusted, I have to respectfully disagree...

Snipping in agreement. I think this forum is very supportive and respectful of LE in general--and any circumstances in which there are questions about the actions of individual LE are rooted in the behavior of specific individuals and not LE in general.

@pikachu1322 I think anyone who comes forward with information publicly (rather than through a tip line) will risk being discussed. Speaking to media, for example, makes it hard to stay invisible. But I have so much respect and gratitude to those who do speak out and share tips and try to help in these cases. Just as I believe that the innocent generally don't have much to worry about with our legal system (which still gets it right the vast majority of the time).

A handyman type worker generally has to undergo an extensive legal background check including fingerprints and if doing electrical, plumbing, or similar type work, have some experience level and/or a certificate or license. One would expect a handyman to have a helpful, friendly demeanor, in addition to being safety conscious. That's not to say a handyman is above suspicion or automatically innocent of anything.

In saying that, seriously, don't get your panties in a bunch because someone is theorizing he could be involved. One simply can look at the pedophile investigations that hit the media regularly.... you just never know.

Glad you joined us @pikachu1322! Are you local to the area? You have valid concerns. And I think I've shared some of the same. WS's TOS include rules about not "sleuthing" anyone who has not been determined by LE to be a POI. I've read quotes from LE which have mentioned that they would not rule out anyone they've talked to as beimg a suspect, but I also don't recall them clearly stating that any specific individual actually IS a POI. So any time I've made reference to LD's dad, BF, or even maintenance man, I've tried to be sure to point out that the info I share has been nothing more than my opinion. ...but then People's Opinions are possibly exactly what you're referring to.
I think though that the general concern you have about why people haven't shared more information on the case, likely isn't intended to express concern about why locals with information havent shared that info directly to this web site. I get that. I hope no one actually expects that though. Its not uncommon for "sleuthers" here to express frustration at the lack of information the general public has available. (Generally this is because LE actually does a good job of not sharing anything more than they really need to.) I would hope that any info a private individual might share with LE would be kept confidential by LE, or would at least be shared as originating from an anonymous party. ...as long as the RP reports their info to LE & not to the media.

Also though, I may have skimmed thru the discussion thread on this case too quickly. I don't recall mention of a neighbor. Any chance you (or anyone else) can bring me up to speed on him?

Why in the world would the BF say she was off doing drugs with the wrong people?
Did she have a history of doing that? Or did she usually do drugs with the right people?

@pikachu1322 What comments about a neighbor have you seen here on this thread?
