Thanks to a private citizen who dug up Lauren’s dentist so quickly.
Remains found in North Fort Myers belong to 36-year-old woman, not Lauren Dumolo
Paul lost hope that Lauren was alive but had high hopes that he could finally bring her home, and his hopes went even higher when Scott Kleveno found the dentist who had Lauren’s dental records.

“I’m a computer geek, so I got on the internet, and from the time the press conference till about three in the morning, I’m trying to trace Lauren’s history,” Kleveno explained.

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster.
This hits home literally as i live behind four freedoms park, and I remember when this first happened and it didn’t garner nearly enough attention.
With the remains located in north fort Myers, weren’t those confirmed to not be Lauren’s? And “a homeless woman”s bones..

Or did I get my info wrong?

You are correct. They were not Lauren.

Eight years of Dateline's Missing in America: 169 still missing

lauren_dumolo.jpg

Lauren Dumolo, 29, was last seen by her boyfriend at the apartment they share on Coronado Parkway in Cape Coral, Florida on June 19, 2020. On the same day, her purse was found in Four Freedoms Park, a place she was known to frequent. Her cell phone was later found in the apartment. On June 24, police deemed Lauren’s disappearance “suspicious” and the status was changed to missing person endangered, based on their investigation, according to Detective Nick Jones of the Cape Coral Police, who has been working to find Lauren. Police are looking at all leads in the case and Det. Jones confirmed several people have been interviewed, including Lauren’s boyfriend. He would not comment on whether anyone they’ve interviewed is being considered a person of interest in the case. The Cape Coral Police Department says “Lauren’s missing persons case remains an active/open case and our Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate Lauren’s disappearance.” Lauren is described as being 5 feet tall and weighing about 110 pounds. She has brown eyes and light brown hair that, at the time of her disappearance, had been dyed blonde. She has tattoos, including “Namaste” on her right side, a symbol on her wrist, an “NY” symbol on her pelvis, and rosary beads on her ankle. Anyone with any information on Lauren’s whereabouts is asked to contact Cape Coral Police at (239) 574-3223. You can also submit an anonymous tip at www.capecops.com/tips or https://new.tipsubmit.com/en/create-report/anonymous, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. Please reference case number 20-011323.

I have been listening to the Podcast for a bit now and am just seeing this article from yesterday. Is this the first time we are finding out that she had been Baker Act hospitalized 2x recently before she went missing? Is this really the "new" information or is it something else? I had thought at some point I had read that she was hearing voices in the days before she went missing and thought people were following her or something to that measure...if that was reported a while back was it really no known that she was hospitalized a couple times before she went missing?

New details on Lauren Dumolo's mental state before disappearance; community organizes search party

What did she do all the time at Four Freedoms Park? Are there walking trails or things she enjoyed doing there?

.
It was reported she meditated at the park.
It’s not a real big park so no walking trails. It has a playground, a little sandy “beach area” but swimming is prohibited. The little beach area is kind of meant for kids to play with their little sand pails etc. there are also grassy areas and some covered picnic tables.

If I remember correctly, Lauren was very into meditation & yoga. It helped her stay sober.

“She is so loving, caring, so bubbly and happy all the time. She is just a sweetheart," friend Angela Stallkamp said.

Stallkamp said she’s known Dumolo for over ten years.
But Stallkamp said she considers Lauren as her family.

"She is just always loving, especially with her daughter. You could always just see the love," Stallkamp said.

She's the organizer of a community search party planned for this weekend which will reveal new information about the mother's disappearance since June of 2020.

New information - multiple leads - is what Trish Routte with SWFL Crime Stoppers said the organization has received ever since Dumolo's case aired on a national talk show.

"So, the goal and hope that people that saw that will share that information with us," Routte said.

Routte said the show revealed that Dumolo was previously baker acted - meaning she was held by mental health professionals for up to 72 hours - twice in June of 2020.
It happened right before she went missing.

"The mental health aspect really hadn’t been talked about until now. Everything that was happening in Lauren’s life in the weeks before she went missing is information that we need to explore to the very depths," Routte said.

Routte said because Dumolo spent a lot of time at Four Freedoms Park, they're asking for anyone who saw her there to contact law enforcement. With the new information, Routte said this could help investigators solve the case.

“Now we are going to the next level and saying here is what we know what was going on in Lauren’s life in the few weeks before she went missing. That may or may not have had anything to do with her disappearance but we have to explore every aspect," Routte said.

Dumolo’s father, Paul said he is just looking for closure. “It’s probably the worst thing in the world of not knowing. And not, you know, if I’m sure somebody knows where my daughter is, or where her remains are, and, you know, not to be able to give my daughter the burial that she deserves,”

He even went on Dr. Phil to raise awareness of his daughter’s disappearance.

“I wasn’t really allowed to speak on the specifics of the case, which I really wanted to do. And there was a lot of things that I disagreed with that were being said”

He says he wants to know what happened to his daughter.

Those searching for Dumolo hope they can bring him closer to some answers.

Missing in America organization helps search for Lauren Dumolo (winknews.com)
On Saturday, the Missing in America was in Cape Coral to assist in the search for Lauren Dumolo. This comes after Lauren’s sister, Lindsey, reached out to them for help.

Missing in America used a metal detector and an underwater drone at Four Freedoms Park in Cape Coral in an effort to find some clues.

Joe Fanciulli is a retired homicide investigator, and he assisted in Saturday’s search. He says that while the area has been searched multiple times, there are changing factors here.

Missing in America says they plan to search even more areas, including ones that weren’t searched previously.

Can you share more information about her jumping in the canal? I missed that.
