One news article I read says:

The FBI confirmed the search of the site, at 2700 Wiles Road, began Thursday, October 1st.
This is Mt Trashmore, the main dump for Broward.

I wonder why the authorities waited so long to do this search?

I'm just guessing that they got dna evidence back from the dumpsters they removed ?

How long does that usually take? They've had those dumpsters and those blood droplets for a while.

I have no idea. Maybe someone else can answer.

Ah man I feared that this would be the outcome. That dude didn’t really go anywhere at all that night possibly. So sad :(

One tiny thing that makes me happy about this is that I believe Leila called him out on allllll his crap in her final moments on Earth. He is the garbage.

I agree, otherwise why wouldn't they have searched the landfill earlier?
It must have taken awhile to get the lab tests back from whatever physical evidence they found in the dumpster. It can take up to 12 weeks, from what I've heard. They needed probable cause before they could get a warrant.

I wonder if this is why LE was looking for that Honda? Maybe they think he threw the body in there at that time, and were hoping for a witness.

Yeah, I think they argued, she called him out on some of his claims and wounded his fragile ego. I suspect what he led her to believe by meeting him in Florida was not what she expected. She saw right through him. She knew what he really was and that angered him.

I think he dumped the body in the dumpster and covered it up with all her other belongings. He googled the schedule for commercial garbage collection about an hour after he killed her.

This search may take a long time. In the Kelsey Berreth case LE searched for over a month and never found her body.

I hope they find Leila's body. They need a conviction and her family deserves justice.

Oh dear Lord. I hope this leads to answers. Not the ones any one would want but the not knowing is worse.

This means he murdered her in the Walmart parking lot, and disposed of her remains as quickly as possible in the dumpster less than 100 yards from where the truck was found. JIMO

Peter D’Oench of CBS News Miami gave the most accurate report. However, he made an error too. He said Cavett was seen throwing contents in a dumpster, he should have said Ryan was seen throwing contents in a dumpster.

I mean, it’s just a minor detail. SMH.

Has anyone seen a MSM report that says Leila actually did know SR before she went to Florida? It seems to me if she did know him from Alabama, wouldn't she know how crazy he was?
According to the Affidavit, they had communicated only through FB and by cellphone prior to her trip to Florida.

I think Ryan was very good at manipulating people. Many of his followers probably viewed him as charismatic and believed he was truly a healer. He seemed to seek out vulnerable young women who were easy to control. I doubt many people knew what he was capable of.
