I am of the opinion that Leila did know SR prior to her trip to FL. I think she was looking for a fresh start and if SR led her to believe that he would pay her $3k for the truck and pay her to fill in for his apprentice, she may have been thinking she would have $ to get a place for her and Kam and get a job to sustain their new life close to the beach. Maybe she was looking to surprise her family once she got on her feet. MOO

Man arrested in connection to missing mother charged with kidnapping; FBI reveals new evidence

Ryan has not been shy about posting his whereabouts on social media, like the Southland Shopping Center in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday night.

“Search my whereabouts, look at who I talked to. I mean, you’re gonna find out you wasted your [expletive] time,” said Ryan.

However, a clerk who did not want to be identified said she almost called the police after encountering him.

“He started yelling and cursing and calling us all kind of names,” she said. “When he came with us to be with us, that’s when I said, ‘You know? I’m over it.'”

That is very interesting. It’s shades of the Daybell cult case. I don’t discount anything after following that mess!
There is another girl missing, Veronica Reyes-Diaz, from Plant City, FL also.
So 2 girls missing from Plant City and one for Cape Coral.
I am searching to see if there are any more.
I just don't think Leila was his first, JMO

A clerk ? To be with them ? Where ? Calling the cops for cursing and yelling ? She was over what??

WHAT ??

I basically agree. I just don't feel the connection between these two csess from the very little I've read about Lauren's case.
& that being said, I'd add that the guy that claimed to have seen Laruen returning to her place and who also had said Lauren had asked about available units in the complex as she wanted to get out of the situation she was in is also suspicious to me. (How better to throw shade on the BF & away from yourself - and also, who wants to get away from a BF but only move to another unit in your own complex?)
But yes, never forget that the first two rules in the case of a missing woman are, 1) it's ALWAYS the boyfriend, & 2) when you're really sure its NOT the boyfriend, see rule #1.

I tend to agree, look at the BF, as that was my very first thought also.
and while I feel that is the case in Lauren missing, I felt compelled to look into others as I feel this wasn't SR's first murder. JMO

Plus, I also felt that way about Heidi B's fiancé, SC and he was innocent so that taught me a good lesson, for myself, to also look outside my first thoughts and first instincts.

Newspaper reporters contact SR’s mother in Alabama WBM/BBM

“FBI agents say they used surveillance video and witness statements to poke holes in Ryan’s story, but his mother told the South Florida Sun Sentinel there was no way her son was involved in a kidnapping.”

“Shannon is not no evil, violent person,” she said Monday from her home in Alabama. “Shannon loves every living thing around him. My son ain’t kidnap no child. That’s a bunch of bull. He’s not that type person. He would not harm anyone.”

This is odd wording. What did she mean by this?

Momma is in some deep denial.

To be fair, all we know for now is he's shady (imo), a witch (as per SR), a big liar (as per fbi), knew LC at least on the 23rd of july (as per his modified FB post) had the keys of her truck, cleaned and emptied that truck, and dropped KC off (as per affidavit) where he was likely to be found (imo).

While that's not exactly a glorious story, as of yet, there is no indication that he harmed anyone, and not even that he made her (body) dissapear. (Or maybe indication, but nothing substancial)

And the only reason i'm saying all this, he made an awful lot of comments to look at cctv and that they where wasting their time looking into him.
What if that very last sentence turns out to be true and somebody else is involved in all this and grinning at the situation, or that she might still be alive somewhere ??

In Florida it’s normal to change your clothes standing outside your car using your car door as a dressing room at the beach.
Not in my part of Florida, it's not. Not for anybody over 3.

Listening to the video, I thought she said "when he came at us with the B word...."

Something has been nagging at me since reading the affidavit, yesterday. Actually, it has been nagging me this entire time. The apartment complex. I cannot shake the feeling that he knows someone who lives there. They may have even been hanging out at this individuals apartment when she was harmed. After reading how quickly he returned from dropping off Kam, I became even more convinced.
I am beginning to think her body had been left in one of those units, along with someone who was watching Kam. He would have had to retrieve her very quickly and take her to his car. In all of the chaos, Kam could have easily gotten out. The risk of chasing him down and keeping him would have been too great, so he just ran. This theory doesn’t explain everything, but in my mind, it makes sense. I do not believe he cared about “sparing Kam”. I do believe that those apartments will play a considerable role in this whole scenario. JMO My theory may change a bit, but this makes sense, as of now. I truly feel that those apartments were his “home base”.

This is puzzling me. It doesn’t seem random to me either AryaStark. If there was any truth (rolls eyes) to what he said about her sometimes leaving Kamdyn in his care and going doing what she pleased then he would still have the baby now and no one would question it. To dump him there like rubbish i just can’t compute. It’s as though - speculating only - he knew someone there who he could call to get him as he was in a mega hurry. I’m not suggesting the lady who found him necessarily knew SR or anything just that maybe the person that was to Supposed to go out to get him didn’t get there in time and thank god for that if so.
I don’t know, poor Leila. My heart breaks for her and Kamdyn.

Amateur opinion and speculation and all my own wonderings

I sure hope they interviewed everyone living in that apartment complex and looked on this phone to see if there was any connection to anyone living in that complex. I can't imagine why he would pick that place unless he knew someone there or had a connection to it at one point and knew he would be found quickly (assuming he didn't want any harm to come to the child)

Maybe.

Question would be, why did he come from racetrac, if he was already at the appartements ? And why would he go back to racetrac immediately after, if it were to dispose of her ?

I figured there are more individual houses than appartements in the neighbourhood, so he left him at the first residential parking lot he came by, but you're right it does seem very random.

Finally all caught up. After reading all the posts and comments and looking through SR's Facebook, I just think there is a lot of truth to what he says, BUT he leaves out anything that makes him look bad. Often, people do that when telling lies, they try to put as much of the truth as they can so it's not totally fabricated and some of the info can be verified (maybe attempting to make people think they are innocent).

We know:

SR said they met at Racetrac and they did.. he was correct on times and he look at the video. There was video of her at the Racetrac.. in one of his posts or videos he referenced that he was also in the video, but FBI left that out when posting photos of her.

They were getting into his car and she was driving. This leads me to believe either 1. they did know each other prior because who meets up with someone the first time and allows them to just drive your car? OR they traded cars and she was assuming this was her car now (but if that's the case she went into the store without her son and left him in the car (if this theory is correct and they traded cars and Shannon was not in the car at that time)

So IF Shannon was in the car during the daytime trip to Racetrac, then her son was in the car with him. Then at the 10:30 PM visit to Racetrac she took her son in with her.. so would that mean Shannon was no longer with them at this time or there was another reason she took her son in with her on this trip? Was Shannon in the store with her at the night time trip?

Shannon claims she went with the men at night.. so there is no photos released of her outside the Racetrac at night, just the inside of her and Kam. Maybe she did stop to talk to guys in a black car when exiting during the 10:30pm trip. Maybe that set off Shannon enough to hurt her? His google searches didn't happen till 12 that night so 90 minutes after Leila was seen inside the Racetrac.

What was he asking of her that she didn't want to do and that made him decide to harm her? It seems if he intended to do something to her prior to her arriving in Florida, maybe he would have googled these things way before midnight the night he harmed her?

Maybe there is some truth to that story about her going with the guys only she didn't go with them, she just flirted with them and it angered him. Maybe he had other intentions and she wasn't trying to do what he wanted and this flirting or talking to other guys set him off? Maybe he said check the cameras because he knew it would show her talking to some guys in another car (but not going with them)..

He has said before that he uses the free Wifi at Racetrac so maybe it was more to do with needing to communicate in some way using his phone or I don't know.. ? He seems to be at this location a lot.

I have a question about hotel check ins and tagging luggage - in the picture SR posted when the police searched his car, with LC's truck in the background, there is a suitcase with a tag on it - similar to the ones when you check your luggage in on an airport - would a hotel tag luggage?
Yes, hotels tag luggage if they are holding it in storage for you at the bell stand.

If this theory is the case, i would think they would have seen pings of his phone near the appartements at other times as well, and his car or her truck on video at other times.
They haven't released much info so they might be hanging onto that.
My gut doesn't seem to agree, but at least i think this scenario means it can be verified by LE and thus be solved.

He did say he drove her truck back to Walmart, but from where ? Might be related to all of the above as well...
