What a cutie....how sad, him wandering alone...I'm glad there were people with compassion around and called the cops before something more horrific did happen to him. For me it's a bit comforting that at least there are people taking care of him now. I hope his mum or dad or both are not murdered. Who could have abandoned him willingly and in his/hers right mind? (I know this happens, btw)

He is very friendly! Absolutley Adorable.

I note he isn't crying for his parents / caregivers and seems very comfortable around strangers.

He’s very cute. I wonder if he says any names. He doesn’t look like he was in an accident or has any injuries from something like falling out a window or crawling out of somewhere that could have led to his “escape.” That’s a long time to be away with
seemingly no one looking for him.

If that Miramar office is still open, maybe the little guy got lost in the shuffle, separated due to covid or left behind by a deported family hoping he will have a better life in US?
speculation, imo.rbbm.
COVID-19 Prompts Some Immigration Facility Closures – But Fewer In South Florida

  • Immigrants lined up outside the ICE facility in Miramar last year.
Patrick Farrell / Miami Herald File
March 2020
''In a statement to WLRN regarding the Miramar facility, ICE said it is “working to minimize the impact of COVID-19 by temporarily rescheduling and reducing in-person of non-detained [immigrants] on a case-by-case basis."

But critics say there are still lines of people in Miramar. Jessica Schneider heads the detention program at the nonprofit Americans for Immigrant Justice in Miami.

“That immigration office can be chaotic even during the best of circumstances,"

Are there any homeless encampments around that area from which he may have wandered?

Wondering how long the little guy was wondering around before he was found, was he very hungry, and/or thirsty?
Do You Know This Toddler? Mystery as Florida Police Ask Public to Help Identify Boy Found Wandering Alone
''The little boy, who police believe is between 2 and 3 years old, was found walking near the 1860 block of SW 68th Avenue in Miramar. He was wearing a soiled diaper and had no socks or shoes, Lori Rodriguez, a resident who helped police search for the boy's parents, told WPLG.

"We walked around and looked to see if anyone was nearby. None of us have ever seen the baby before," Rodriguez told the station. "I’m beside myself."

he looks biracial possibly white and black? if no one has reported him i fear maybe they have been killed or something? he looks healthy and well nourished. usually abused kids are super fearful.

The child does not look like he spent any recent time in the sun, is his family in quarantine, or maybe from somewhere else that has been rainy the last few days/weeks? imo. speculation.

Thank heavens that lady was attentive to the appearance of a little lost boy and responded appropriately.

I hope they keep his picture front and center on social and local media. Now that it's Monday morning, I wonder if any doctors/clergy/daycare/DFCS/homeless camp will see the news and recognize him?

The Tshirt he is wearing is sold at Walmart.
Not sure if the Police gave it to him or if he was found wearing it.
There is a Walmart a few miles away per the Google map linked above. Maybe he is on camera with his family?

Search for boy’s parents continues in South Florida
Updated: July 27, 2020, 12:48 pm

''Lori Rodriguez ‚who helped search for the boy’s parents, told Local 10 that a neighbor had seen the child wandering and had been asking around to see if anyone knew anything about him.

“We walked around and looked to see if anyone was nearby. None of us have ever seen the baby before,” she said.

That’s when they called police. According to an Miramar police spokesman, authorities spent more 90 minutes canvassing the area and knocking on doors nearby to find anyone who may have known who the child was or, hopefully, find a parent or guardian.''

''The boy remains in the care of the Department of Children and Families.

Anyone with information about his identity or his parents or guardian’s identity is urged to contact the Miramar Police Department at (954) 602-4000.''

It baffles me that someone has not recognized him yet! Grandparents or neighbors or aunt/uncle/cousin/daycare provider or even a grocery clerk who sees him with his parents or caregivers on occasion.....someone has to have some idea who he is or where he is from.

He sure is adorable, and very busy (from the video clip) lol

This could be a case of an overwhelmed parent dropping a child off where it would be found but not near home.

Man arrested for trying to kidnap child from mother as they sat in hotel room
''A man has been arrested after reportedly walking into a hotel room and attempting to kidnap a child right from their mother.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:41 a.m. on July 26 when the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the panicked mother informing them that a man had just entered the Tampa Bay hotel room where her and her offspring were before he allegedly tried to kidnap the child directly from her.''
