For that reason, I am very fearful of the outcome because I don't think this is going to end well at all.

I know that happens, but taking a 2-year-old kid with her to Florida? From the video, he looks like the type of little kid that is always moving around, doing something. That car drive had to be hard, my almost 3-year-old niece was in the car for 15 minutes and told me she wanted to get out of the car, we had 15 more minutes to go. That's not a lot for us, we live in a smaller town and every bigger city is 30 plus minutes away, she's used to be in the car for that amount of time, kids are funny.

Yes! Our family is all in WV and PA and those car trips with my daughters when they were young could be brutal.

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Cavett was in Dawsonville in February, when a family member filed a report claiming that Cavett had been using crack cocaine at a residential home.

Cavett had been arrested the year before on charges of drug use, according to Alabama court records. It was not clear whether the case was settled, the Herald reported.“

This breaks my heart. He’s should be with his family. He’s not unwanted. He doesn’t need to be in foster care or adopted. Poor sweet baby.

It actually makes me extremely angry. They know that is his family.

According to the Daily Mountain Eagle, the Jasper daily newspaper, Cavett received two traffic tickets in October. The paper reported that Cavett skipped a February court date and her license was suspended in March.”

I understood this to mean that Leila had a fling with West and ended up pregnant. They didn’t last and she started dating Arnold who “stepped up as a father figure” (from article) when the baby was born, but then they broke up.

The only reason you would drive 10 hours for drugs is to smuggle a large quantity home. Maybe she got caught up in that. But I just don't get that feeling from her. And I've known a lot of addicts. And been one.

I concur with the drug smuggling bit. Moo. Maybe she got an offer that was too good to be passed up. Hollywood is not too far from Miami.

ETA: as someone who has a toddler and 0 support, I can say, she probably always has Kamdyn with her. Regardless of how long the drive is.

I have a soft spot for Leila. I want her to be found, get some help for her addiction issues, and be the Mom she likely wishes she had growing up.

I struggle with posting things that may be hurtful, but the reality is she at one time recently was using crack cocaine. If that is still her drug of choice, rational thinking and sound decisions are probably not being made in her life. Which is why we're here today.

She could be in Florida simply on a drug addled whim. <modsnip>
