Every time I login, I hope to see that she has been found safe.

Where is she? What in the world has happened to her?

From all indications, I can’t see her just leaving that beautiful boy alone. I think something horrible has happened to her, IMO.

Do you think it’s possible that she’s scared and hiding because she was careless and now it’s national news?

I'm the exact same. I hope for answers, while simultaneously dreading the answers that I'm expecting.
I really don't think that it's that she's scared and hiding. I think someone would have outed her by now if this was in any way an innocent or self-made situation.
I think she got in over her head with another person that she thought she could trust and it went sideways.

Well the one positive thing here is that her car was found in a WalMart parking lot. They all seem to have excellent CCTV systems. (I watch See No Evil on the ID channel, and so many of their episodes involve WalMarts, and they always have the best footage and coverage it seems).

Hopefully it was in an area that was covered well by a camera. They could at least see who/how many people got out and where they went. I'm assuming they/she got into another vehicle? Or it may have just been a drop of her car by one person, but again, I doubt they'd just walk back. Seems like another car would have to be involved.

Your theory is probably correct. I’m still hoping for an alternate outcome. :(

Love this post! I absolutely agree that something HAS to be on cameras there! JMO

Prior to July 25, I think she was running away from some poor choices she made in Alabama, Georgia and Ohio. Choices that will have consequences when she’s found alive. Having several family and friend connections here, she thought Florida was a new start. She got here and realized it wasn’t all she thought and from the neighborhood she ended up in — she got in with a seedier side of our Sunshine State. I can’t speculate on who she is or isn’t with. Also, can’t speculate on why the truck was abandoned. Those things are yet to be seen when or if we get follow up from local LE. Hopefully, she is in hiding; and will be home safe soon. The worst is too much to think of right now. Thank God Kam is safe. I pray for her family. The unknowns are unthinkable.

This is exactly the direction in which I’m leaning, IF I had to guess on a theory.

Always be ready for a twist though. That’s one thing I’ve learned here, you never really know how a case may unfold...

There are certainly many possibilities, as are being discussed here. But the above is my top theory atm, if I were to have one.
This is my theory at this time too.
The little guy was left on the street in a soiled diaper and not completely dressed.
Whoever dropped him off simply needed him out of the picture but didn’t want to kill him.
But they apparently needed her in some way. Even it was just to hide her body.

That's a big possibility but that would pretty much assume the Kamdyn escaping from an apartment angle. Who would intentionally release a child directly into their front yard and attract police attention to the area where a crime is being committed.
Someone that was forcing her into the house and left the child outside or in the car.

Maybe someone was watching Kamdyn to see if he got safely picked up by anyone ?
Maybe that's why he wasn't distressed, because he hadn't been alone for long.

Maybe that was her way of getting him out of the apartment so he would be safe?

Going down to Florida would have also cost her a lot of money. A lot of money for gas, then food for traveling (especially when you have a kid). Something HAD to have been SO important down in Florida to travel so far and spend SO MUCH money. If she WAS going down to Florida to sell something to make money then it would defeat the purpose by all the money it cost her to travel down there to begin with if that makes sense.

So I am leaning (like many of you) maybe she was going to meet someone for a date possibly? I really don't see her going for drugs. But that is MY opinion. Many people will do MANY things to meet someone online for a date.

Heck I met my husband (who I am married to now) online and NO ONE knew I was meeting him about a hour away (of course that is different than HOURS away) in a location that NO ONE knew about. I was very secretive about my life and didn't tell family many things. Seems like Leila is that way too.

I know at one time I also didn't have anywhere to go. I argued with my parents and ended up leaving home. I met a guy (who honestly was a stranger) and moved in with him. I know a lot of people who have done this. Wonder if she THOUGHT she met someone great and that they would be able to be a family and all so to speak and she had planned to maybe date and possibly move in with him so to speak. Maybe it was one of those deals where he had an apartment for rent (that was a GOOD deal) or something and he coaxed her into coming to Florida ?

Unfortunately for her it most likely turned out sour. He was NOT who she expected when she got to Florida.

Certainly a possibility.

But then I would anticipate a fairly solid electronic record of this. Of course, if it was a catfish, then perhaps that lead is not (easily) traceable, specifically if there were nefarious intentions from the beginning.

I’ve seen many cases like this, catfish type. One was a woman who thought she had met the man of her dreams online. They communicated via SM, iirc, for several months. She drove down with her small children to meet this man. Turns out it was really a woman who wanted her younger infant child, and kidnapped the baby. A man assisted, iirc. The female perp had seen pictures of the baby online and befriended the woman on SM, posing as a man. Anyway, I’m glad we are not considering that here, a missing baby boy.

This is the first I hear of Leila's father. He says Leila was communicating with someone online (exactly what I was afraid of), and was invited for the weekend.

I wonder why the sisters didn't know that. Is this new to them too?
Maybe Leila was closer to her dad.

Wonder how hard it would be for police to access her facebook messages just to see if there is anything on there that might be helpful? I don't know if they would have to have a warrant for that or what but hopefully they will look into it.
