Officials: 1 dead, 11 injured after vehicle crashes into day care

A Florida Highway Patrol official said a silver Dodge Durango forced another vehicle off the road, sending it crashing into the Goldenrod Road KinderCare at North Goldenrod Road and University Boulevard around 3:11 p.m. Thursday.

FHP officials said they are searching Seminole County for a 2004-2006 silver Dodge Durango with front end damage, fog lights and a wheelchair access ramp attached to the back of the SUV

Authorities seek man accused of causing fatal hit-and-run KinderCare crash

ORLANDO, Fla. —
A suspect in a crash that led to a child's death has rented a car from an Enterprise Rent-A-Car and could be trying to flee Orlando, authorities said.

WFTV found out the 4-year-old girl died after a car crashed into the KinderCare on Goldenrod Road near University Boulevard on Wednesday.

Authorities said Robert Corchado, 28, was driving a Dodge Durango that struck the car, causing it to crash into the KinderCare. Corchado then fled the scene

Those braids break my heart! So this is what it takes to get this put in jail for a long time,a child has to die!Our judicial system does not work and I am tired of seeing a criminal with a long rap sheet out commiting more offenses until they kill someone then they get a sentence to keep them from harming the public.

Story not updated yet but Corchado's bond was just set in the amount of $100,000. He can't leave Seminole or Orange County and cannot drive a car as a condition of that bond. He stated he will live with his mother.
