So I'm no expert on genealogy, but let's assume Lurline is alive, her son/daughter would be around 30. If their DNA is out there, how can mom or sister see if they get a "hit" or match through their DNA? Anyone familiar with how this works or the steps needed to take?

@PayrollNerd is right. I am an old genealogist. My 23&Me results showed genetic links to people in the areas of Ireland that I have records! To the county level, mind you.

If Lurline has children, and any of them have submitted DNA, you could be matched. Unfortunately the whole heritability thing is complex. The suggested relationship may aunt/niece or cousin/cousin, but the strong relationship should show.

Often there are holiday sales, you may find a bargain price this weekend, for Ancestry or 23&Me? I don't know which one has a bigger database/more people in it.

It’s been about 30 years. Lurline would be about 44 now. I hope whatever happened to her and whoever did it, is still living. I bet her family has their suspicions. I hope LE does too. Send us a sign Lurline.

Always hoping and praying for an update or more information about Lurlines disappearance and the circumstances surrounding it.

Since it was suspected that Lurline was pregnant, was it known who the father was?
Was the Hispanic men she was known to date ever questioned?
I wish we knew more about the circumstances on the day she went missing and the search, if any, that was conducted.
Was personal items missing from her room as is though she ran away or did she leave to go out somewhere and never return?

I wish Lulines mom and sister would return to this thread.
It would be appreciated if we knew more about the day she disappeared and who, if anyone, was questioned...esp the men she was known to date.
Did she pack a bag...take any personal belongings?
She was so young, possibly pregnant, and known to be using drugs.....I hope, wherever she is, Lurline is at peace.
