A Florida mom tried to drop her 3-month-old baby into the ocean because she claimed it was possessed by demons, and covered in lizards and snakes.

That's what Clearwater police are saying about Lydia Chako, 39, who was arrested on Tuesday when she was found allegedly half naked and dangling the baby over a sea wall, according to WTSP.

Talk about crazy! She must have been off her meds or just had a complete mental breakdown.

wow! thank goodness the baby was found in time and mom didn't drown her in the bathtub! I hope she gets the help she so obviously needs!

September 2012 - ruled competent.

November 2012 - pleads not guilty by reason of insanity.

January 2013 - ruled incompetent again, sent back to hospital.

May 2013 - ruled competent.

January 2014 - pleaded guilty to criminal mischief, sentenced to two years probation.

March 2015 - arrested for possession of illegal drugs. Arraigned for violation of probation.

April 2015 - pre-trial hearing.
