Wow, now we know why his story didn't sound right. Drove all the way back home to call police....NOT!! Still I'm glad the little girl is back home and not in Mexico or anywhere else.

Assuming everything in the article is true, I am not sure I am upset with this father for lying. After being told no crime was committed by the dispatcher, I think he felt desperate to get his daughter back and did what he thought he needed to do to get LE's attention.

well I don't condone the misuse of emergency services but I can understand why he did it and I hope he doesn't get charged

So, if the mother is 18 now, she was either 14 or 15 when the child was born. I'm wondering how old the father is (he looks in his 20's)? There is a lot more to this story for sure.
