IMO, JS, she's a liar. told different stories. she initially called him her BF and partner (media interviews)Jenn says he was offered a job but it didnt work out, and dad says he was impressed with Stephans work at Disney ( something like that) and tried to get him back to north port to help set him up with a job, but inevitably that old work ethic came back and he was hard to get moving.
(Im paraphrasing for now ) but I will try to find the clip for you. it's in one of the interviews with dad.
The job offer was real.
** BUT**
It was also because Dad was not going to continue to pay the rent either, Stephan really didnt have much of a choice to leave. after a failed work attempt, he probably wasnt wanting to stay in north port with a bunch poodles and what he thinks are cranky parents, and probably why he was moving back, and she was going to help him " get on his feet", because she cant get on hers, without him. ( MOO)
I think it was dads way of saying Im not supporting you anymore while you sit around and paint models.
good memory about his parents interview: his mom saying SS walked around on face time with JS all the time and she would see JS and actually said to JS are you baked? JS answer: oh yeah. that happened in the past few weeks per his mother. right after that, the passage and his dad and rent: his dad said: "he didnt know he was supporting the whole family".

but what was the text exchange, if any, with SS before she texted him that? LE has her phone history of exchanges so maybe they know and didnt press her when she said she didnt know? or maybe it was initially a phone call conversation with him and they were legitimately asking her what she meant?
JS conveniently cant remember despite it being a very specific comment....and at times she would 'just remember something'...for instance, intimacy with SS was vanilla, nothing kinky, but later, 'she just remembered", SS wanted to engage in another intimate position which she declined. IMO, JS would reveal at times things SHE may have thought would not implicate her in anything untoward.....or take the simple route, didnt know or remember. her account of Madeline sunday nite was an empty void, IMO.
yet she can remember and repeat every single detail SS told her of his morning and afternoon and accepted it as factual. she began her missing child reporting investigation with 'we', as if being a 'we' would prevent SS from being investigated, then a barely there clarification he took her to school, she wasnt with him. providing his title as BF or partner when neither was true. AND saw Madeline at 8am.
I agree with many here...its so difficult to listen to her voice anymore, most notably how casual she talks about all of them sleeping together and then sending her daughter to room #4 that nite with him. "I was selfish' is her reason??????? using the term 'sleepovers', when she claims Madeline and SS sometimes wanted to stay up later and watch movies? OMG just too many inconsistencies in her explanations of this, that or the other.

I wanted to hear the investigator pursue that further when she said she didn't remember. But maybe they already knew the answer, like you said. It was a very bold statement by JS that needs to be explained IMO.

Yeah, I re-listened to that Investigative Subpoena interview in April with Jenn and her whole retelling of Sunday night's events is so lacking in detail. This would have been the last time she saw her daughter alive, but she can't recall what MS was wearing. She speculates she would have been in pajamas but can't remember which ones. She's vague about MS' gifts (a wad of money that MS was very excited about supposedly and a few trinkets). She can't remember if Maddie had finished her nighttime routine. Doesn't know what SS' "nest" text meant or even receiving such message. Knows nothing about GamePigeon being installed on MS' phone. Next thing she knows she's being woken up by SS Monday morning when he leashes the dog.
About the only thing JS remembers about Sunday night pertaining to Maddie is discussing her bday meal. Oddly enough, JS does remember that MS requested arroz con gandules and pernil. Even then, it's worded in a way, at least to me, where I'm not sure Jenn is saying this is what Maddie told her she at at the party or if Jenn is recalling that this is a meal that MS typically requests at her parties.

if your kid was missing, even if you didnt see what she wore to bed, would you not have gone to her hamper by now to have a look? Pj's on the floor, or any signs of anything from the morning? or check if she took anything with her? ( I'm asking the wrong people. I dont think anyone here would say no lol) She could have said I know she wore this to bed because I saw.... in the morning. Anything ? I wonder if she even looked?
even though she has parental controls on maddis phone that meant she has to approve all app install requests
To me it felt like she was begging the question, that was weird, I may be Canadian but dont speak French to me and expect I understand?? thats what it felt like. It was almost like was getting a little power or control back but I dont think she's capable of thinking that way. it was probably more like I'll answer with Spanish words, this way he can ask me a question I can finally answer ( whats in that dish) it felt very manipulative to me,

He tentatively scheduled that case for a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday Feb. 12, 2025, and for a trial docket of Feb. 24 to March 14. right....did she check for ANYTHING? according to JS, she never even went into Room #4 when she got home after leaving her mom's place of business OR EVER. she says she didnt personally go out looking for her, doing the flyers with family...she WAITED at home. but did NOTHING in the house such as look around for a note? didnt see her one croc in her pile of shoes in her own bedroom?
Madeline's backpack was eventually found without her water bottle...was that her water bottle on the kitchen counter? if it was, did she even freakin' notice? did she check all of her 'black shorts' if she owned more than one, to see if she had the right description of what she was wearing? because as she finally admitted, she never saw Madeline in the morning.
then JS goes into Madeline's space and finds her phone. and then FORGETS she has it on the way to pick her up and CALLS MADELINE when she doesnt come out....whatttttttttttttt? and drives away from the very place her daughter should be without checking.
JS's explanations were not believable then, nor now IMO.
Who washed the sheets in that house.....for months...years SS lived there??

Well, it wasn't SS as the roommate said she'd never seen him do laundry before that fateful day... and I doubt it was JS as I just feel like she's lazy, plus she had a child to do stuff she wouldn't want to do IMO. You know... "chores". And I doubt that laundry was co-mingled with the roommates laundry. I'd think the roommates would all gather and do their own so who does that leave? It leaves Maddie to do the chore of JS, SS & her laundry.
