Missing Boynton Beach man found safe
The Boynton Beach Police Department said they have found a missing and endangered 71-year-old man who suffers from dementia.
Police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said George Martin fled from an assisted living facility Monday morning.
In a tweet at 9 a.m., police said he "just walked back to the facility where he's been living."
Slater said Martin smashed a window in his first-floor room, climbed out and took off running from the Parkside Inn, located on Southwest Third Street, just after 6 a.m. Staff members chased after him, but he outran them.
Slater said Martin previously fled from another assisted living facility in Palm Beach County and took a bus to Seattle.
George was found safe the same day!!
He sure has a lot of pep in his step to outrun everyone.
