He didn't want to spend the rest of his life in prison?? I believe Florida has the death penalty if he's interested. Probably not for 16 year olds. So, this child murders his "friend" over a money dispute, then leaves his friend's little sister all alone for hours....then lies about it for months?? I don't know if any of you watched the video posted earlier...where Marco's mother talks about the panic and fear this little girl has when any male enters the home. She is petrified...and she likely saw the argument and possibly even the murder. I hope this family is able to heal now that they have some answers and closure. So very sad and pointless.

Santos Hernandez Jr. will spend the rest of his life in prison for the 2010 murder of his 16-year-old friend, a judge ruled Thursday.

Hernandez, 21, was 16 when he killed Marco Martinez, shooting him in the head and stabbing him repeatedly in the back.
