Maria Gomez, 42, left her home at 8 p.m. Wednesday and has not returned home.

Deputies are searching the area of Oakland Drive, just north of Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs and warn residents to expect law enforcement activity in and around this area.

A body has been recovered from a body of water in Bonita Springs. Not yet clear if it may be suspected to be Maria. Body pulled from Imperial River near where woman went missing

A woman who disappeared on the Fourth of July was found dead in the Imperial River.

Lee County Sheriff's Deputies won't say how she died.
