Stop the bickering and personalizing; scroll & roll or use the Ignore feature. If you have a differing opinion, state it and move on. Stop beating a dead horse.

WS staff don't have time to pretty up posts to make them comply with TOS; any more of this nonsense and posts will simply be removed along with any response to the removed posts. Members who insist on bickering will face loss of posting privileges.

Thread is open again for respectful discussion.

IMO, backing up is not showing deadly force. I hope the courts charge Drejka. IMO shoot first anytime theres an altercation is a horrible way to deal with conflict.

You will also notice that as MM appears, she jumps out of the car. She is not afraid of this guy. She is clearly upset at him. She's angry. On the other hand MD seems very calm and composed. He gives her space, never coming within 4 feet of the car. He isn't being demonstrative with his hands like some have said, although he does point at her as MM exits the store.

I'm not saying that MD wasn't yelling, he likely was raising his voice by the end of it, but I don't believe that he was the only one, nor was he the one that escalated the argument.

This is the key part that some people are missing. You don't get out of your car if you're scared of somebody you're arguing with. MM didn't react with an uncivilized shove because he was afraid for her. He thought he could just bully the little guy arguing with her.

By the same token, MD thought he could bully a woman.

The police say the woman admits that there were no threats, no aggression from D. I really do believe M thought he had a nice safe defenseless victim to bully.

Telling a person that they're illegally occupying the handicapped space is hardly bullying. He merely told her the truth and she didn't care for the truth. She was very angry. Remember she told the police that D didn't threaten, wasn't violent towards her. Where is the bullying?

I would find it threatening if a man was yelling at me and using foul language to do it. The use of his profanities means, to me, that he is not in control of himself. He was looking for a fight and he got one.IMO

Yet the woman told the police that there was no threats, that she was not threatened. By her own words, she wasn't afraid.

Did she say that she was not afraid?

I've never illegally parked in a handicapped spot in my entire life.

I've never illegally parked in a handicapped spot in my entire life.
And I have never killed someone in my entire life.

We live in Orwellian times, Trident, as this thread so clearly shows. Your post-script is very timely.

Did she say she was?
No, did not she say she was not. Would you be afraid if stranger came up to you and shouted a profanity laced tirade at you?

I think that you completely missed Orwell's point if you think that he would approve of this. He was British, maybe you missed some nuances.

But you would, if your life was at stake
I have been pushed over twice in my adult life. I never, ever thought my life was in danger and even managed not to kill someone.

"Pushed over"? Good example of Orwellian double-speak.
LE described it as a "blindsided violent body slam." And I agree.

He was pushed over and landed on his bum. Watch some Rugby to see what a body slam is.

Oh, I've had that happen. Thing is, I know a few profanities myself as I'm sure many women do. So long as we stick to cuss words and don't get physical, I have no fear. If, however, I were to be knocked to the ground, I can say I would be in fear for my life.
