Police search for pregnant daughter of man found dead in Hollywood

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the daughter of a man who was found dead in Hollywood Monday.

According to Hollywood Police, Martine Bernard is six months pregnant and is believed to be in danger.

Bernard is the daughter of Roosevelt Bernard, whose body was discovered near his Hollywood home after going missing over the weekend.

Missing Hollywood man found dead; family suspects foul play

The family’s worst nightmare became a reality two days later. Bernard’s body was found in an empty lot down the street from his house.

Shortly after, his son, who is a South Florida police officer, made a disturbing discovery inside the family home.

“He found a speck of blood on the floor between the cracks in the tiles,” said Alexander. “He found — the door is white, so he found a handprint with blood on it. It seemed like it was smeared a little bit.”

Husband charged with killing pregnant wife after body is found in dumpster

A man is accused of killing his pregnant wife and tossing her body into a dumpster, and police are investigating whether he also killed her father.

Martine Bernard, 20, of Fort Lauderdale — six months pregnant — was found shot before dawn Tuesday in an alley in the Flagler Village neighborhood, behind where she was killed at 522 NE First Ave.

Martine Bernard’s husband, Cassandritz Blanc, 22, was charged with her murder and is a suspect in the Hollywood case.
