Quite honestly ISIS hates, and will target, just about everyone. Even those of the Islamic faith, unless it is of ISIS' own, personally dictated, branch of Islam.

He pledged allegiance to ISIS and had the same ideology but you will not hear this from the administration that refuses to call them ISIS but chooses ISIL for some weird reason and once claimed that ISIS is the "JV team".

I haven't posted my thoughts on this horrific shooting today. I've been in a kind of shock. These young people were out having a nice night with friends. They had their whole lives ahead of them. I can't imagine the horror the victims endured, the deep grief their loved ones are experiencing now. I'm the parent of two gay children, and what amazing adults they turned out to be! My heart is breaking.

There are hundreds of bars in Orlando. Thousands of other locations this guy could have struck. Movie theaters, restaurants, shopping malls etc. The fact that he did this at an LGBT night club during LGBT pride month isn't a coincidence in my opinion. This was a targeted terrorist attack on a specific group of people. Remembering back on the horrible massacre at Charlie Hebdo. No one said it was just a random place the shooters walked into. It was a targeted attack. IMO this is no different.

Something playing on my mind - he was there for a quite a few hours (or he left and came back, not sure?). Why did he wait until closing time? Is that when the most people are there? I get that at 9.30 it might be quieter, but would it have been busy at say midnight or 1am. Anyone have any ideas why he might have waited? Hesitation or is there a more practical reason?

Maybe it was not possible to smuggle the weapons in until after closing.

I think *I'm* going to have PTSD from this and I'm in Kansas! I can't even let myself think how terrifying it was for all of them.
