We have plenty if quotas already. You may wish to read up on immigration policy in the US. We do not have enough emergency room doctors. We have let in may foreign doctors, even those from Syria. What would you suggest?

We have plenty of foreign students in our universities & colleges, and medical schools. Give those spots to Americans, and we'll have enough ER docs.

Oh My.

Wife of Killer is blaming the gun shop for the Murders. (using Gun Control to blame)

She is blaming the press for saying things that aren't true.

She is talking out of both sides of her mouth IMO...

I say that because she apparently told conflicting stories to friends about whether she knew or not....

She has a good lawyer....IMO
Link?

Regarding that Forbes quote.....how are 'white Muslims' the majority/most likely to be a Muslim terrorist, at 21%, when Somalian Muslims top them at 31%? :waitasec:

Not directed at you, oceanblueeyes, directed into the universe, about the article.

The article actually acknowledges that Somalis top the list. They just worded it in a weird way in order to make people think that white people are the likliest to be a Muslim terrorist.

The ultimate protected class.

I wish the LGBTQ community would get angry about this.

Yeah he's been terrorizing people for years, yet given a pass because he's an Arab muslim. I particularly liked the part where he threatened to kill all his friends at a cookout because his hamburger touched some pork. Any other person behaving like he did would have been kicked out of school, fired from their job, arrested for domestic violence and ostracized by the community at large. But he was SPECIAL, see.

The ultimate protected class.

What? Was this in the past or currently? That's ridiculous. Did he give a reason or was it more read between the lines.

Like they can't investigate Muslims who are actively involved in suspicious activities or they can't investigate Muslims at ALL? Because clearly Muslims are being investigated.

Oh, that is just bullshyte. And just WHO would have told them this?

So, if a muslim robs a bank, the FBI cannot investigate the perp? If a muslim kidnaps someone, the FBI cannot investigate the kidnapper because he's a muslim? Or is it just in terrorist-related crimes that the FBI "can't investigate muslims"?

Fox News commentators............

I have zero doubt this was a crime of hate against the gay community. I'm also inclined to think he did act in part due to his belief of some kind of warped justice against Americans.
So both terms, hate crime and act of terrorism apply. IMO

Agreed. Why can't his motives be both? I don't see why it has to be one or the other. This guy is a trifecta, since his brand of religion taught him to hate gays anyhow, and then he was self-hating on top of it, and he had bullying problems as a child anyhow...

Ok...rewinded the program:

Former FBI:

Rules of Engagement...what the bureau is being told what they can and can't do ... they can't go around sniffing to do with muslims. They cant go around to mosques, they can't do what they would normally do. I'm not talking about off the charts, I'm talking about would normally be done, but the orders have been come down from the White House

Then Dish forwarded me to the live show..... but what I wrote was verbatim....

Lol, I know. ;) :innocent:

Playing devil's advocate. Say he was visiting Pulse for personal reasons and not for scouting the site, he could have told his Mum or she may have found out (with or without his father's knowledge).

It also falls apart when you remember he is MARRIED with a 3 year old child! What married guy with a kid is going to tell his mother that he likes to hang out at gay bars on the weekends? And even tells her which bars specifically.

There is no way the mother would think he could be a victim.

So no racial profiling. That makes more sense and IMO that's not the same as not being allowed to investigate Muslims. Without reason they have no reason to go "sniffing around" anyone.

eta: I doubt this came from the WH and I doubt they're not allowed to investigate the way they would usually investigate case/suspects/whatever.

I'm sorry. But that makes NO SENSE to me...

Yeah, it's fine when we have more massacres like the one we just had in Orlando. As long as we don't profile that protected class. That would be bad.

He's both and he's a mass shooter too, and he's dead and he took 50 people with him and I just cried my way through the national anthem. :(

Muslim isn't a race.

You said they can't go "sniffing around." I don't think it's okay (or legal) for them to go "sniffing around" or to spy on people just because they are a certain religion or race.

We know they investigate Muslims - just look at the arrests.
